Background: Vasa vasorum (VVs) is a Latin word representing vessels of vessels. VVs are usually found on the adventitia of the parent vessel and infrequently reach the media and intima, depending on the size and type of the parent vessels and physiological and pathological conditions. The VVs include arteries, capillaries, veins, and lymphatic vessels, involving the oxygenation and nourishment of the vessel's wall to sustain its healthy state.

Case Presentation: We present the case of a 47-year-old woman who presented with memory impairment and left partial paralysis.
Pulmonary mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma is difficult to diagnose and relatively rare. Tissue sampling through transbronchial biopsy is often inadequate, necessitating surgical lung biopsy. However, a recently developed technique, transbronchial lung cryobiopsy (TBLC), has shown promise for obtaining larger specimens.

In the preoperative evaluation, it was revealed that essential thrombocythemia existed in the background. Therefore, medical treatment with antithrombotic agents in conjunction with hydroxycarbamide for essential thrombocythemia was initiated, but the thrombus was not dissolved by three weeks.

We explored whether the therapeutic efficacy of prior chemoimmunotherapy could predict the outcome of RD as sequential therapy in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Methods: Our study comprised 288 patients with advanced NSCLC who received RD as the second-line treatment after first-line chemoimmunotherapy at 62 Japanese institutions.
A 75-year-old man with severe bilateral pleural thickening and dense soft tissue masses surrounding the abdominal aorta on computed tomography was diagnosed with IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) as a complication of lung cancer. He was started on nivolumab as second-line therapy along with low-dose prednisolone. Nivolumab was administered for 15 months until disease progression, during which time IgG4-RD did not relapse, and no problematic immune-related adverse events occurred.

Although CTP provides a wide surgical corridor, it has complex and time-consuming bony work of mastoidectomy and cosmetic issues. Here, we describe a simple combined surgical technique to approach the supratentorial region, anterolateral surface of the brainstem, petroclival region, and foramen magnum by drilling only the petrous apex with a combination of retrosigmoid approach (RA).

We treated a man in his 70s with bilateral cerebellar CEIH. He had presented at another hospital with dizziness, and imaging showed two independent hemorrhagic space-occupying lesions in the bilateral cerebellar hemispheres.

However, some drugs block hERG channels and prolong QT interval with low TdP risk, likely because they block additional inward currents. We investigated the utility of J-T interval, a novel biomarker of inward current block and TdP risk, in conscious telemetered guinea pigs.

Meanwhile, the risk of complications associated with diagnostic procedures is high, which prompted us to investigate the role of bronchoscopy, a relatively safe diagnostic procedure. Therefore, we conducted this study to evaluate the usefulness of bronchoscopy for the diagnosis of PPLs in patients with IPF.

However, the molecular mechanisms by which environmental MeHg affects fetal development have not been clarified. Recently, it has been suggested that the toxic effects of chemicals on fetal development are related alterations in epigenetics, such as DNA methylation and histone modification.

We report here an unusual case of eosinophilic necrotizing inflammation of the lung that mimicked chronic eosinophilic pneumonia. A 71-year-old man who lived in an unsanitary environment and was referred to our hospital with suspected pneumonia. Peripheral blood eosinophilia was observed, and computed tomography indicated extensive consolidation with multiple cystic lesions, mainly in the left lung.

The disk-shaped specimens ( = 44) of copper were wet-ground. Half of the specimens were heated at 400 °C for 4 min in an electric furnace (HT: heated).

Four CAD/CAM composites for molars (Cerasmart 300, Estelite P block, Katana Avencia P block, and KZR-CAD HR3 Gammatheta), one CAD/CAM composite for premolars (Shofu Block HC Hard), and one feldspathic ceramics (Vitablocs Mark II) were assessed. Knoop hardness number, gloss, and surface roughness (Ra, Rz, and Sa) were measured before and after toothbrush abrasion testing.

Zirconia disks were prepared using the following surface treatment: no treatment, alumina blasting, and etching with KHF or NHHF. The specimens were bonded with the MMA-TBB.

Methods: A self-etching primer (Teeth primer, TP) containing 4-methacryloyloxyethyl trimellitate anhydride (4-META) and sodium sulfite and two etchants having different phosphoric acid concentrations (K-etchant gel, KE, 35-45%: Red gel, RG, 20-25%) were used as treatment agent, and MMA-TBB resin was used as luting agent. Enamel surfaces were treated with six methods which were as follow: KE, RG, TP, KE+TP, and RG+TP.
Purpose: This study investigated the influence of an interaction between sulfur-containing monomers and other monomers in multipurpose primers on the bond durability of a tri-n-butylborane (TBB)-initiated acrylic resin to a gold alloy.
Methods: The disk-shaped adherend materials were prepared from a gold alloy (Casting Gold M.C.
This study aimed to investigate how different compositions of experimental silane-based primers in a methyl methacrylate solution containing 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate (3-TMSPMA) or 3-(4-methacryloyloxyphenyl)propyl trimethoxysilane (3-MPPTS) might act as silicon dioxide bonding agents. With or without post-silanization heat treatment, primer-treated quartz discs were bonded using the MMA-TBB resin and their bond strengths were evaluated. The disks were primed with one of the following materials: 1 mol% 3-TMSPMA, 2 mol% 3-TMSPMA, 1 mol% 3-MPPTS, and 2 mol% 3-MPPTS.

A gold alloy and high-purity titanium were used as adherend materials, and a transparent acrylic resin initiated with tri-n-butylborane derivative was selected as the luting material. Both adherends were treated with one of the primers and bonded with the luting material, after which shear bond strength was determined.

However, it is unknown whether the end buds further branch over longer culture periods, and whether saliva-producing cells differentiate there. In the present study, we cultivated three major (submandibular, sublingual and parotid) salivary epithelia from 13-day embryos for 14 days in mesenchyme-free cultures.
