Background: Educational programs designed for specific populations to improve regular physical activity need to be tested.
Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of an educational program, when compared to usual care, on improving physical activity 5 to 7 months after hospital discharge in adult patients undergoing their first percutaneous coronary intervention.
Methods: Randomized controlled trial with two groups: usual care (n = 56) and educational program (n = 53) interventions.
Background: Due to "stay at home" restrictions during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, people spent more time at home leading to an increase in home accidents, including burns.
Objective: To investigate the epidemiology of burns that occurred within homes during the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil.
Design And Settings: This was a quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional study with a non-probabilistic sample.
Virtual reality therapy has been shown to be an excellent alternative to non-pharmacological treatment for the control of burn pain. The objective was to evaluate the effects of virtual reality therapy on pain control in people who have suffered burns published in the scientific literature. Systematic review carried out as recommended by Cochrane.

Methods: This is a quantitative study guided by the Theory of Practical Intervention of Nursing and Collective Health. 230 nursing professionals participated, responding to an instrument about the frequency of the actions carried out in assistance, management, teaching, and research.
Purpose: To culturally adapt the City of Hope-Quality of Life-Ostomy Questionnaire (COH-QOL-OQ) from English to Brazilian Portuguese and evaluate psychometric properties of the adapted instrument (internal consistency and construct validity).
Design: Methodological study to establish reliability and validity.
Subjects And Setting: The sample comprised 215 persons with stomas of any etiology who attended 1 of 3 specialized outpatient care center and 2 associations for persons with ostomies.
Unlabelled: The Ostomy Adjustment Inventory-23 (OAI-23) was developed in English to measure the social and psychological adaptation of individuals who underwent ostomy surgeries.
Purpose: The aim of the current study was to culturally adapt and test the measurement properties of a Brazilian Portuguese adapted version of the OAI-23.
Methods: The original version of the OAI-23 was composed of 23 questions distributed into the following 4 factors: acceptance, anxiety/preoccupation, social engagement, and anger.
The objective of this study was to evaluate interobserver reliability and the concurrent criterion validity of the adapted version of the International Skin Tear Advisory Panel (ISTAP) Skin Tear Classification System to Brazilian Portuguese. For the evaluation of interobserver reliability using the photograph database, 36 nurses classified 30 skin tears (STs) into three groups, according to its definitions (adapted version). For the evaluation through clinical application, 23 nurses classified 12 STs present in 8 thoracic and cardiovascular postoperative patients at a tertiary hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Method: The general population and burn survivors administered the adapted Brazilian versions of the Perceived Stigmatization Questionnaire (BR-PSQ-R), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES). The Student's t-test for independent samples was employed to identify significant differences between the means of the results from the BR-PSQ-R, BDI and RSES instruments, and the Pearson correlation was used to detect correlations between constructs.

Background: Hysterectomy for benign gynecologic diseases, especially dysfunctional uterine bleeding, is one of the most common gynecologic interventions. The uterus can be removed using abdominal, vaginal, laparoscopic, or robotic-assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy. In a robotic-assisted procedure, the surgeon directs the robot while seated at a console in the operating room.

Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study. The internal consistency was analyzed using Cronbach's α, considering coefficients ≥.
Currently, there is no questionnaire to assess perceived stigmatization among people with visible differences in Brazil. The Perceived Stigmatization Questionnaire (PSQ), developed in the United States, is a valid instrument to assess the perception of stigmatizing behaviours among burn survivors. The objective of this cross-sectional and multicentre study was to assess the factor structure, reliability and validity of the Brazilian Portuguese version of the PSQ in burn patients.

The PSQ was developed to evaluate the perception of stigmatizing behaviors of burn victims. The adaptation process was carried out from August 2012 to February 2013, comprising the steps outlined in the literature.
