Background: Restricted and repetitive behavior (RRB) is a core symptom of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The structure of RRB subcategories and their relationship with atypical sensory processing in Japan are not well understood. This study examined subcategories of the RRB in Japanese children with ASD and explored their relationship with sensory processing.

This method allows for the concise synthesis of all possible stereoisomers of a key intermediate of rocaglaol and its derivatives in a highly diastereo- and enantioselective manner using different chiral phosphine ligands.

Giant-cell arteritis on photon-counting detector CT: A case report.

A 77-year-old woman presented to our hospital with a 2-week history of fever, headache, and induration along the bilateral superficial temporal arteries (STAs). The color Doppler ultrasonography of the STA showed a hypoechoic mural thickening surrounding a residual color flow. A contrast-enhanced photon-counting detector (PCD) CT demonstrated mural thickening and stenosis of the bilateral STAs.

Aims: During intraoperative bleeding in endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), switching to spray coagulation may be beneficial compared with the continuous use of swift coagulation and can reduce the need for hemostatic forceps. We retrospectively assessed the effectiveness of spray modes on intraoperative bleeding during gastric ESD.

Methods And Results: A total of 316 bleeding events (156 in the Swift group and 160 in the Spray group) were consecutively recorded.

Methods: We measured the thickness of the fat tissue on the right side of the superior mesenteric artery from the dorsal margin of the confluence of the superior mesenteric vein and portal vein to the ventral margin of the left renal vein on preoperative contrast-enhanced computed tomography and defined it as the mesopancreas thickness.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, while some countries succeeded in reducing their rate of death after SARS-CoV-2 infection via vaccination by the end of 2021, some of them also faced hospital capacity strain, leading to social anxiety about delays in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with other diseases. This essay presents an allegory to explain the situation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through an allegory and , this essay indicates that "the scabbard of Excalibur" that we are looking for is an efficient and effective healthcare system that can diagnose patients who might become severely ill due to COVID-19 and to treat them without hospital capacity strain.

Superiority trial for the development of an ideal method for the closure of midline abdominal wall incisions to reduce the incidence of wound complications after elective gastroenterological surgery: study protocol for a randomized controlled trial.

Background: The recent guidelines from the European and American Hernia Societies recommend a continuous small-bite suturing technique with slowly absorbable sutures for fascial closure of midline abdominal wall incisions to reduce the incidence of wound complications, especially for incisional hernia. However, this is based on low-certainty evidence. We could not find any recommendations for skin closure.

In this study, we successfully applied a transition-edge sensor (TES) spectrometer as a detector for microbeam X-ray measurements from a synchrotron X-ray light source in the hard X-ray region to determine uranium (U) distribution at the micro-scale and its chemical species in biotite obtained from a U mine. It is difficult to separate the fluorescent X-ray of the U Lα line at 13.615 keV from that of the Rb Kα line at 13.

Different Characteristics and Interleukin-6 Ratios of Scattering-Type Aortic Plaques.

Background Cholesterol crystals (CCs) are related to innate inflammation in spontaneously ruptured aortic plaques (SRAPs), and variability exists in the CCs and interleukin (IL)-6 ratio in SRAPs. Methods The prevalence of scattering-type ruptures that glittered against the light of angioscopic fibers (puff-chandelier ruptures) and those that did not (puff ruptures) was analyzed in 848 patients with suspected coronary artery disease. Overall, 177 puff-chandelier ruptures and 105 puff ruptures were sampled using nonobstructive general angioscopy (NOGA).

Synthesis and Biological Evaluations of Novel Human Parathyroid Hormone 1 Receptor (hPTHR1) Agonists Bearing Bicyclic Aromatic Moiety.

We have previously shown that the small molecule hPTHR1 agonist PCO371 (1) orally and dose-dependently induces PTH-like calcemic and hypophostemic activity in thyroparathyroidectomized rats. Compound 2a, bearing a bicyclic aromatic ring, was identified as a novel hPTHR1 agonist during hit to lead modification. It showed moderate PTHR1 agonistic activity with an EC value of 15 μM, and its metabolic stability in human liver microsome (hLM) as well as its solubility in phosphate buffer (PPb) and Fasted state simulated intestinal fluid (FaSSIF) were found to be poor.

Purpose: Midline abdominal incisions (MAIs) are widely used in both open and minimally invasive surgery. Incisional hernia (IH) accounts for most long-term postoperative wound complications. This study explored the risk factors for IH due to MAI in patients with clean-contaminated wounds after elective gastroenterological surgery.

Examining the effects of additives and precursors on the reactivity of rhodium alkyl nitrenes generated from substituted hydroxylamines.

In this study, the reactivity of the alkyl nitrenes, generated from the substituted hydroxylamine precursors, was determined using the same rhodium catalyst. The results revealed that in competitive C-H insertion experiments, the regioselectivity between benzylic and tertiary C-H bonds could be modulated by adding Brønsted acids or changing the substituents on oxygen. This study enhances our understanding of the metallonitrene structures and provides valuable insights for further development of selective N-heterocycle syntheses.

Catalytic Asymmetric Vinylogous Conjugate Addition of Butenolide to 2-Ester-Substituted Chromones: Access to Chiral Chromanone Lactones via Trapping of a Copper(I) Enolate by Trimethyl Borate.

A copper-catalyzed asymmetric vinylogous conjugate addition of butenolide to 2-ester-substituted chromones is described, and it delivers - or -chromanone lactones with high stereoselectivities. The enantioselectivity-determining step varied with the use of B(OMe) as an additive, resulting in enhanced stereoselectivities, as revealed by density functional theory calculations, which also provided theoretical insight into the origin of the ligand-dependent diastereodivergence.
