The Role of Androgens and Estrogens in Social Interactions and Social Cognition.

Gonadal hormones are becoming increasingly recognized for their effects on cognition. Estrogens, in particular, have received attention for their effects on learning and memory that rely upon the functioning of various brain regions. However, the impacts of androgens on cognition are relatively under investigated.

The role of oxytocin in shaping complex social behaviours: possible interactions with other neuromodulators.

This review explores the role of oxytocin in the mediation of select social behaviours, with particular emphasis on female rodents. These behaviours include social recognition, social learning, pathogen detection and avoidance, and maternal care. Specific brain regions where oxytocin has been shown to directly mediate various aspects of these social behaviours, as well as other proposed regions, are discussed.

Sex Differences in Social Cognition.

In this review we explore the sex differences underlying various types of social cognition. Particular focus will be placed on the behaviors of social recognition, social learning, and aggression. Known similarities and differences between sexes in the expressions of these behaviors and the known brain regions where these behaviors are mediated are discussed.

Reactive arthritis and silent thyroiditis following SARS-CoV-2 infection: Case report and review of the literature.

SARS-CoV-2 has been implicated in the development of reactive arthritis (ReA) days to weeks following exposure or infection. We present a case of ReA with enthesitis and subsequent silent thyroiditis in a patient following infection with SARS-CoV-2, along with a review of the published cases of SARS-CoV-2-related ReA.

Durable remission of HIV-negative, Kaposi's sarcoma herpes virus-associated multicentric Castleman disease in patient with rheumatoid arthritis treated with methotrexate.

Multicentric Castleman disease (MCD) is a nonneoplastic lymphoproliferative disorder that has a poor prognosis. Optimal treatment is unknown. There are a few reported cases of MCD and rheumatoid arthritis.
