Unlabelled: The majority of patients do not receive anti-osteoporotic treatment following a major osteoporotic fracture, despite the guidelines and the availability of effective anti-osteoporotic treatments. The fight against factors limiting the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis should become a priority to improve secondary prevention after an initial osteoporotic fracture.
Purpose: Despite the availability of effective anti-osteoporotic treatments, osteoporosis management is currently insufficient.
Objective: To describe cases of development of pulmonary nodulosis or aseptic granulomatous lung disease in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) receiving anti-tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) therapy.
Methods: A call for observation of such cases was sent to members of the French "Club Rhumatismes et Inflammation." The cases had to occur after introduction of TNF-alpha-blocking therapy.
Background: Current standard therapy for Wegener's granulomatosis and microscopic polyangiitis combines corticosteroids and cyclophosphamide to induce remission, followed by a less toxic immunosuppressant such as azathioprine or methotrexate for maintenance therapy. However, azathioprine and methotrexate have not been compared with regard to safety and efficacy.
Methods: In this prospective, open-label, multicenter trial, we randomly assigned patients with Wegener's granulomatosis or microscopic polyangiitis who entered remission with intravenous cyclophosphamide and corticosteroids to receive oral azathioprine (at a dose of 2.

A high proportion of primary SS patients also had considerable amounts of serum IgA and elevated levels of IgA with rheumatoid factor (RF) activity. IgA-CIC and IgA-RF were more frequent (P less than 0.

Experimental studies show that this graft has a growth potential, the osteochondral junction responds to the biomechanical forces in a similar way to the mandibular condyle. Surgical treatment allows an immediate restitution of the morphology, normal masticatory function and good buccal opening.

Orthopedic treatment provided deceiving results. Pinning was, on the contrary, very effective, intrafocal pinning with immediate mobilization of the wrist appearing perfectly effective.
