Intervention for modifying risk level of hypersexual behaviors among male parents with sexual offending history.

Background: The increased sexual assault committed against women and young girls by people of the opposite gender has put their safety in danger in recent years. This has contributed to a growing number of adult sex offenders who have aggressive sexual attitudes. This study investigated the efficacy of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) in reducing the risk level of hypersexual behaviors among male parents.

Rational emotive education for reducing stress of undergraduate students of religious education program: An experimental study.

Background: Rational emotive education (REE) program aims to improve the behavioral and mental health of students. This study objective was to evaluate the effect of an REE program on stress among undergraduate students of religious education program in Nigerian Universities.

Method: One hundred and fifty (150) religious education undergraduates who had high level of stress participated in the study.

Objective: This study examined the effects of music therapy with cognitive behavioral therapy on social anxiety in a sample of schooling adolescents in south-east Nigeria.

Methods: We adopted a randomized controlled trial design involving a treatment group and a waiting-list control group. A total of 155 schooling adolescents served as the study sample.

Background/objective: Evidence showed that reoffending habits are increasing among offenders with violent sexual behaviors. Given the recidivism rates, a psychotherapeutic intervention becomes imperative. This study examined the efficacy of prison-based cognitive behavioral rehabilitation intervention (PCBRI) on violent sexual behaviors among sex offenders in Nigerian prisons.

Impacts of cognitive-behavioral intervention on anxiety and depression among social science education students: A randomized controlled trial.

Background: Anxiety is a common disorder which refers to a significant and persistent fear of one or more social or performance situations. This study investigated the impacts of cognitive-behavioral intervention on anxiety and depression among undergraduate students enrolled in social science education programs at public universities in the Southeast Nigeria.

Methods: Participants were 55 undergraduate students enrolled in social science education programs at public universities in the Southeast Nigeria.
