While a live-attenuated Yellow fever (YF) vaccine is known to elicit durable immunity, antibody titers may wane after vaccination. This study evaluated the long-term immunity after vaccination against YF among individuals who reside in Korea and received vaccination with YF virus-17D prior to international travel. Serum was collected between December 2018 and December 2019 at the National Medical Center, Republic of Korea from YF vaccine recipients who were vaccinated more than five years prior to sample collection.

Objectives: The primary purpose of this pilot study was to determine the feasibility and acceptability of a novel brief (six-session) motivational interviewing home-based intervention for hoarding disorder designed for rural older adults. The secondary aims were to examine the engagement of proposed mechanisms of change and the preliminary efficacy of symptom reduction.
Method: Fifteen rural-dwelling older adults were enrolled in the pilot trial for Project RECLAIM (duce utter nd ncrease eaning).
Right-sided mechanical support of the Fontan circulation by existing devices has been compounded by the cross-sectional design of vena cava anastomosis to both pulmonary arteries. Our purpose was to investigate whether increasing inferior vena cava (IVC) flow with a rotary blood pump in the IVC only in an ovine animal model of Fontan would lead to acceptable superior vena cava (SVC) pressure. To achieve this, a Fontan circulation was established in four female sheep by anastomosing the SVC to the main pulmonary artery (MPA) and by interposing a Dacron graft between the IVC and the MPA.

However, existing pLVADs require complex fluoroscopy-guided placement along a guidewire and suffer from limited blood flow due to their cross-sectional area. The recently developed self-expandable Impella CP (ECP) pLVAD addresses these limitations by enabling guidewire-free placement and increasing the pump cross-sectional area.

Importance: Dental caries and periodontal disease are common adult oral health conditions and potentially amenable to primary care screening and prevention.
Objective: To systematically review the evidence on primary care screening and prevention of dental caries and periodontal disease in adults to inform the US Preventive Services Task Force.
Data Sources: MEDLINE, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, and Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (to October 3, 2022); surveillance through July 21, 2023.
Importance: Dental caries is common in children and adolescents aged 5 to 17 years and potentially amenable to primary care screening and prevention.

Background: Apicoectomy is one of the procedures that are most frequently performed by specialists in oral surgery. This paper presents an analysis of Ibuprofen consumption after apicoectomy and factors such as patient's age, sex and type of resected tooth. Ibuprofen intake is treated as a quantitative indicator of pain sensation.

In this study, the aim was to evaluate the possibility to conduct reliable lipidomic studies using hemaPEN® microsampling devices. Targeted lipidomic analysis was applied to investigate the impact of a short and intense physical activity on lipids blood concentration.

Neutralizing antibodies are the primary immune correlate of protection elicited by infection, and the major goal of vaccinations in development. Using convalescent blood samples collected from both endemic and non-endemic human subjects at multiple timepoints following suspected or confirmed chikungunya infection, we identified antibodies with broad neutralizing properties against other alphaviruses within the Semliki Forest complex.

Methods: An electronic cross-sectional survey was administered in April and May 2021 to providers in family medicine, internal medicine, adolescent and young adult health, student health and women's health clinics affiliated with the medical centre with questions pertaining to PrEP prescribing practices. Electronic medical record abstraction was used to quantify the number of eligible patients who sought care in primary care departments and the adherence to PrEP initiation guidelines from 1 July 2018 to 31 June 2020.
Even as prescription opioid dispensing rates have begun to decrease, the use of illicit opioids such as heroin and fentanyl has increased. Thus, the end of the opioid epidemic is not in sight, and treating patients that are addicted to opioids remains of utmost importance. Currently, the primary pharmacotherapies used to treat opioid addiction over the long term are the opioid antagonist naltrexone, the partial-agonist buprenorphine, and the full agonist methadone.

Patient Presentation: A 54-year-old male patient presented with ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome complicated by out-of-hospital cardiac arrest with ventricular fibrillation upon arrival of the emergency medical service. As cardiac arrest was refractory to advanced cardiac life support, the patient was transferred to the Cardiac Arrest Center for immediate initiation of extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR) with peripheral VA ECMO and emergency percutaneous coronary intervention using drug eluting stents in the right coronary artery.
The discovery of new antigens specific to multiple myeloma that could be targeted by novel immunotherapeutic approaches is currently of great interest. To this end, it is important to increase the number of proteins identified in the sample by combining different separation strategies. A capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) method, coupled with drift tube ion mobility (DTIMS) and quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (QTOF), was developed for antigen discovery using the human myeloma cell line LP-1.

In these patients, the high shear stress in the device leads to increased shear-induced proteolysis of von Willebrand factor (VWF) by A Disintegrin And Metalloprotease with Thrombospondin type 1 repeats, number 13 (ADAMTS13). As a result, the high molecular weight (HMW) VWF multimers are lost, leading to a decreased VWF function and impaired hemostasis that could explain the bleeding complications that are frequently observed in these patients.
