As climate change intensifies, urgent action is needed to address global warming and its associated health risks, particularly in vulnerable regions. Rising global temperature and increasing frequency of heatwaves present a hidden health risk, disrupting the body's temperature regulation and leading to severe consequences such as heat stress-induced multiple organ dysfunction (HS-MOD). Multiple organ injury triggered by heat stress involves complex molecular pathways such as nitric oxide dysregulation, inflammation, oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, calcium homeostasis disruption, and autophagy impairment that contribute to cellular damage.

Methods: Almost 200 papers were searched for this review article, and 145 articles were selected.
Background: Patients diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) face a heightened susceptibility to infections, which significantly elevates their risk of mortality and disability. The intensity of the chemotherapy treatment and its specific focus on inhibiting myeloid cell divisions render patients especially vulnerable, particularly during the early stages of chemotherapy. This vulnerability is compounded by the occurrence of repeated episodes of prolonged neutropenia, leaving patients highly susceptible to infections.

Estrogen deficiency after menopause in most women leads to increased androgenicity and changes in body composition, and it is recommended to manipulate the β-cell function of the pancreas, insulin-induced glucose transport, and hepatic glucose output, hence, the increasing incidence of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Recently, studies have reported that gut biota alteration due to estrogen deficiency contributes to altered energy metabolism and, hence, accentuates the pathology of diabetes mellitus.

Methods: This was a retrospective study done (April 2019-December 2021) in a dedicated oncology center in North India, which assessed the case records of the patients undergoing therapy for hematological malignancies who were diagnosed with CRE bacteremia.
Background: The most difficult kind of cancer to treat is brain cancer, which causes around 3% of all cancer-related deaths. The targeted delivery is improved with the use of technologies based on nanotechnology that are both safe and efficient. Because of this, there is now a lot of research being done on brain cancer treatments based on nanoformulations.
