Silver nanodendrites (AgNDs) were effectively synthesized utilizing a phytantriol template at ambient temperature without electrodeposition. In comparison to AgNDs, the phytantriol-templated silver nanodendrites (P/AgNDs) exhibited a smoother structure with the well-ordered growth of smaller particles around 51 nm. Moreover, the P/AgNDs exhibited uniform elemental distribution, forming chemical bonds with functional groups, crystallite size around 42 nm, and high transmittance around 95%.

Nanocellulose shows potential as an effective natural adsorbent for removing harmful contaminants from wastewater. This paper describes the development of innovative nanocellulose thin films made of cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs), polyacrylic acid (PAA), and active carbon (AC) as adsorbent materials for absorbing azo dyes from wastewater. The CNCs were recovered from sugarcane bagasse using alkali treatment and acid hydrolysis.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the thermal stability and the decomposition kinetics of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) composite samples loaded with and without lead powder (50, 100, and 200 phr lead) using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). TGA was carried out at different heating rates (5, 10, 20, and 30 °C/min) under inert conditions in the temperature range of 50-650 °C. Lead addition did not significantly change the onset temperature or peak position corresponding to the maximum decomposition rate of the first derivative of the TGA curve (DTGA) (onset at about 455 °C and T at about 475 °C).

ZnO nanostructures were grown on a Si(111) substrate using a vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) growth procedure (pristine ZnO) and annealed via a rapid thermal-annealing process in an argon atmosphere at 1100 °C (Ar-ZnO). The synthesized ZnO nanostructures were investigated through structural, electronic structural, morphological, optical, and magnetic characterizations. X-ray diffraction and selective area electron diffraction (SAED) measurements revealed that both samples exhibited the hexagonal wurtzite phase of nanocrystalline ZnO.

Nanocomposite (NC) films of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), lignosulfonate (Lg), and nanosized palladium (Pd) were synthesized by ex-situ casting method. Samples from the synthesized PVA-Lg/Pd NC films were irradiated with 5-100 kGy γ doses. The effect of γ doses on the structural, thermal, and optical characteristics of the NC films were studied using different characterization techniques.

The convection, thermal conductivity, and heat transfer of hybrid nanofluid through nanoparticles has become integral part of several natural and industrial processes. In this manuscript, a new fractionalized model based on hybrid nanofluid is proposed and investigated by employing singular verses and non-singular kernels. The mathematical modeling of hybrid nanofluid is handled via modern fractional definitions of differentiations.
