Diagnosing Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma With Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasonography: A Literature Review of Research in Europe and Asia.

The National Cancer Institute names pancreatic cancer the 11 most common type of cancer in the United States. However, even with a somewhat low prevalence, in 2017, the American Cancer Society reported pancreatic cancer as the fourth leading cause of cancer-related death. With a lack of symptomology and a broad range of risk factors, pancreatic cancer is frequently diagnosed in a later phase than many other types of cancers, thus resulting in higher metastasis along with a poorer prognosis.

Shoulder MR arthrography: which patient group benefits most?

Objective: We sought to compare the diagnostic accuracy of conventional MRI versus MR arthrography of the shoulder in the assessment of high-performance athletes (professional baseball players) and to compare our findings in these patients with the conventional MRI and MR arthrographic findings in an age-matched control group of nonprofessional athletes.

Materials And Methods: Conventional MRI and MR arthrographic examinations of the shoulder in 20 consecutive professional baseball players with shoulder pain were reviewed retrospectively by two musculoskeletal radiologists in consensus. These interpretations were compared with retrospective consensus interpretations of conventional MRI and MR arthrographic examinations of the shoulder obtained in a control group of 50 consecutive nonprofessional athletes with shoulder pain.
