Introduction In developing countries such as India, severe acute malnutrition (SAM) has been a cause for great concern in the pediatric population. SAM is associated with significant morbidity and mortality in children less than 60 months of age and leaves them vulnerable to diseases due to a decrease in immunological response. Children with SAM are prone to infections, and due to nutritional deficiency, many have anemia which may be a direct or indirect cause of morbidity and mortality.

Chest pain is a common yet complex presentation in the emergency department, often requiring the exclusion of life-threatening conditions such as aortic dissection. Stanford type B aortic dissection, which affects the descending aorta, poses significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenges but can often be managed medically without immediate surgery. This case underscores the necessity of having a vigilant mindset, performing a detailed clinical examination, and including aortic dissection in the differential diagnosis, especially when typical symptoms are observed.

Endometriosis, affecting approximately 10% of reproductive-aged women globally, poses significant challenges, including chronic pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, and infertility. In low- and middle-income countries like India, accessibility to affordable infertility care remains a concern. This multicenter prospective cohort study, conducted across six tertiary care hospitals in India from 2017 to 2022, aims to explore the natural progression of conception and pregnancy outcomes in women with endometriosis.

Introduction: Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most common malignant lesion of the thyroid characterized by unique histological features like nuclear grooving, nuclear clearing, and intra-nuclear inclusions. However, nuclear grooves are observed even in benign thyroid lesions (BTL) like nodular goiter (NG), Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT), and follicular adenoma (FA) resulting in diagnostic dilemma of the presence of PTC in such BTL. RET/PTC gene translocation is one of the most common oncogenic rearrangements seen in PTC, known to be associated with nuclear grooving.

Abstract: Selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) have gained wide importance in the scientific community and have emerged as an optimistic therapeutic carrier agent for targeted drug delivery. In the present study, the effectiveness of nano selenium conjugated with Morin (Ba-SeNp-Mo) produced from endophytic bacteria reported in our earlier research was tested against various Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacterial pathogens and fungal pathogens that showed good zone of inhibition against all selected pathogens. Antioxidant activities of these NPs were studied by 1, 1-diphenyl-2- picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2'-Azino-bis-3-ethylbenzothiozoline-6-sulfonic acid (ABTS), hydrogen peroxide (HO), superoxide (O), and nitric oxide (NO) radical scavenging assays that exhibited dose-dependent free radical scavenging activity with IC values 6.

Endophyte mediated nanoparticles fabrication were emerging as a new frontier in nanomedicines that produce high biocompatible and functionalized silver nanoparticles. In this study, silver nanoparticles were successfully biosynthesized from the extracellular extract of endophytic bacterium isolated from the stem of for the first time. The synthesized nanoparticles showed a strong absorption band at 410 nm in the UV-Visible range.

Gestational trophoblastic diseases (GTD) encompass a group of placental tumors which mostly arise due to certain fertilization defects, resulting in the over-proliferation of trophoblasts. The major characteristic of this diseased state is that β-hCG rises up manifold than that is observed during pregnancy. The incidence of GTD when analyzed on a global scale, figures out that there is a greater risk in South-East Asia, the reason of which remains unclear.

Objective: To compare clinical and laboratory diagnosis of lower reproductive tract infections (RTIs) in a clinic setting, among unmarried adolescents and young adults between 15 and 24 y and to validate clinical diagnosis of lower RTIs against the microbiological diagnosis as gold standard.

Methods: A structured questionnaire was administered among the participants to assess symptoms of lower reproductive tract infections and associated known risk factors. A qualified gynecologist conducted the visual inspection of the external genitalia for any clinical evidence of lower RTIs and took cotton tipped swab from the vulva (outside the hymen) for laboratory examination.
