Aim: To compare the microleakage of three bulk-fill composite resins with or without resin-modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC) liner.
Materials And Methods: A total of 30 maxillary human 1st premolar teeth were selected. Two box preparations were made on the mesial and distal sides.
To evaluate and compare the effect of calcium hydroxide [Ca(OH)] and 2-hydroxyisocaproic acid (HICA) on the microhardness of root dentine. Fifty-one matured maxillary central incisors with straight root and type I canal configuration were decoronated to a standardized length of 16 mm. The root canals were cleaned and shaped using rotary instruments up to size F5.

Our genomic GR binding and transcriptome data from Dexamethasone (Dex) treated cardiomyocytes showed an early differential regulation of mostly transcription factors, followed by sequential change in genes involved in downstream functional pathways. We examined the role of Krüppel-like factor 9 (Klf9), an early direct target of GR in cardiomyocytes.

We describe the case of a 45-year-old female with a 2-year history of recurrent small bowel obstructions (SBOs) without a history of abdominal surgery.

Background: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), characterised by recurrent episodes of upper airway collapse, intermittent hypoxia (IH) and sleep fragmentation (SF), has been associated with carcinogenesis in pre-clinical models. The relationship between OSA and colorectal cancer (CRC) in clinical studies is controversial.
Aim: The objective of this meta-analysis was to assess the association between OSA and CRC.
Objectives: Currently, there are limited data available about patients who are diagnosed with lung cancer following an emergency department (ED) visit. This study sought to define the demographics, symptoms profile, staging, and prognosis of this cohort of patients.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective study of patients diagnosed with a primary lung malignancy at a lung cancer multidisciplinary meeting between January 2018 and January 2020.
Blunt thoracic aortic injury (BTAI) is an uncommon yet serious diagnosis in trauma patients, with high on-scene mortality. BTAI typically occurs from rapid deceleration such as in motor vehicle collisions or high-altitude falls shearing the aorta just proximal to the ligamentum arteriosum. We report a case of a man in his 50s falling from a height of 15 m who presented hypotensive with retrosternal chest pain.

G3bp1, an RNA binding protein with site-specific endoribonuclease activity regulates the processing of pre-miR-1 stem-loop, and thus levels of cardiomyocyte -enriched mature miR-1. Here, we examine the role of G3bp1 in regulating gene expression in quiescent cardiomyocytes and those undergoing growth-factor induced hypertrophy.

Sarcolipin (SLN) is an inhibitor of sarco/endoplasmic reticulum (SR) Ca-ATPase (SERCA) and expressed at high levels in the ventricles of animal models for and patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). The goal of this study was to determine whether the germline ablation of SLN expression improves cardiac SERCA function and intracellular Ca (Ca) handling and prevents cardiomyopathy in the mouse model of DMD. Wild-type, , SLN-haploinsufficient (), and SLN-deficient () mice were used for this study.

We describe our experience of using the V-Y principle in advancement flaps designed around a distinct perforator to reconstruct soft tissue defects of the upper limb. The shortcomings of fasciocutaneous and fascial flaps requiring skin grafting can be eliminated.

Reduction in the expression of sarcolipin (SLN), an inhibitor of sarco(endo)plasmic reticulum (SR) Ca-ATPase (SERCA), ameliorates severe muscular dystrophy in mice. However, the mechanism by which SLN inhibition improves muscle structure remains unclear. Here, we describe the previously unknown function of SLN in muscle differentiation in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).

The main objective of present study was to screen the bacteria for potential probiotic characters and enzyme production. The probiotic characters like tolerance to low pH, bile salts, antibiotic sensitivity, hydrophobicity and auto-aggregation properties were evaluated.

There is some indication that chemotherapy completion is associated with improved survival, although currently little is known about what helps women get through chemotherapy.
Objective: The aim of this study was to explore women's accounts of the factors they believed were helpful during their ovarian cancer treatment.
Dental erosion is frequently overlooked in clinical practice. The management of erosion-induced damage to the dentition is often delayed, such that extensive occlusal rehabilitation is required. These cases can be diagnosed by a careful clinical examination and a thorough review of the patient's medical history and/or lifestyle habits.

Objective: To find behavioral problems and intelligence quotient (IQ) changes associated with epilepsy and to know the association of variables such as frequency, type of seizures, and duration of disease with cognitive impairment.
Materials And Methods: A descriptive cross sectional study, consisting of 50 cases (patients of epilepsy) and 50 controls (other patients of same socioeconomic status) was conducted at S.
Background: Patient demand for tooth colored restorations and desire for minimally invasive restorations have made composites an indispensable part of the restorative process. An important factor affecting the intra-oral performance of composite restorations is bonding.
Material And Methods: Ninty six freshly extracted molar teeth were collected and occlusal 3mm is removed using a diamond disc to expose dentine.
Introduction: With the advent of new technology in material sciences in recent years, the quality of composite resin restorations has improved; however, discolouration and wear of composite resin materials remains to be a major problem in long-term clinical studies.
Aim: The aim of the present study was to compare the colour stability and surface hardness of methacrylate based flowable nano composite with methacrylate based packable nano composite.
Materials And Methods: The difference in colour stability and microhardness of the three composites: G aenial Universal Flo (GC India), Filtek Z350XT (3MESPE) and Tetric N Ceram (Ivoclar Vivadent) were evaluated.
Oxygen is an essential element for life and without oxygen humans can survive for few minutes only. There should be a balance between oxygen demand and delivery in order to maintain homeostasis within the body. The two main organ systems responsible for oxygen delivery in the body and maintaining homeostasis are respiratory and cardiovascular system.

Introduction: Complete cleaning and shaping of root canal system is of paramount importance to achieve a successful root canal treatment. There are various rotary Ni-Ti systems available in the market to achieve mechanical goal of root canal preparation. But aggressive preparation of root canal with such systems would result in canal transportation and excess root dentin removal that would be one of the major reasons to decide the prognosis of root canal treated tooth.

Introduction: Tuberous breast deformity is one of the most challenging congenital breast anomalies. Severe forms present as hypoplasia of lower medial and lateral quadrants and breast base constriction. We present a modified technique based on redistribution of breast tissue for single-stage aesthetic correction of this deformity.
