Background And Aims: To explore the predictive value of the triglyceride-glucose(TyG)index combined with non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (Non-HDL-C) in coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD).

Methods And Results: We retrospectively collected patients who were suspected of CHD and underwent coronary angiography in Yiwu Central Hospital and collected medical history, other serum biochemical evaluation and echocardiography from the enrolled population, Non-HDL-C and TyG indices were calculated, and their correlation with Gensini score was analyzed. Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors of coronary heart disease, and ROC curves were plotted to assess the predictive value of CHD in subjects with single or multiple indices.

Background: Given the pivotal role of neuroinflammation in chronic pain and that the paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus (PVN) is a crucial brain region involved in visceral pain regulation, we sought to investigate whether the targeted modulation of microglia and astrocytes in the PVN could ameliorate pancreatic cancer-induced visceral pain (PCVP) in mice.

Methods: Using a mouse model of PCVP, achieved by tumor cell injection at the head of the pancreas, we measure the number of glial cells, and at the same time we employed minocycline to inhibit microglia and chemogenetic methods to suppress astrocytes in order to investigate the respective roles of microglia and astrocytes within the PVN in PCVP.

Results: Mice exhibited visceral pain at 12, 15 and 18 days post-tumor cell injection.

Many nanoproteases contain tetravalent metal ions and catalyze peptide-bond hydrolysis only at high temperature (60 °C). Here, we report a new and effective strategy to explore nanoproteases from nanoparticles containing low valent metal ions. We found that flower-like CuCoO nanoparticles (CuCoO NPs) containing low valent Cu possessed excellent catalytic activity towards selective cleavage of peptide bonds with hydrophobic residues in bovine serum albumin (BSA) at room temperature.

Little evidence for the importance of suspended particulate matter (SPM) in mediating phosphorus cycling and contributing to eutrophication has been generated for aquatic ecosystems, especially in coupled river-lake systems. In this study, we examined phosphorus transport and redistribution in a river-lake system in the Lake Erhai basin by establishing the relations between phosphorus distribution and phosphorus sorption behavior on SPM, and predicted how changes in the quality and quantity of SPM might influence phosphorus cycling by laboratory experiments and modeling.

To study the associations of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) of the myosin heavy chain 6 () gene with the risk of atrial fibrillation (AF) and warfarin anticoagulation therapy.
