The weekly calendar planning activity (WCPA) is a performance-based assessment of executive function (EF) via a cognitively-based instrumental activity of daily life (C-IADL). This study aimed to examine the validity of the Chinese version of the WCPA in adults with stroke and to explore the characteristics of cognitive strategy use among the population. Fifty-eight hospitalized patients with stroke aged 26-82 years and 53 controls completed the WCPA, two neuropsychological tests and instrumental activity of daily life (IADL) scale.

Occupational therapy is a profession with origins rooted in Western values. As culture plays an important role in shaping theory and practice, the curriculum design of academic programs that train future rehabilitation professionals should reflect the local context. As part of an international partnership, a dual-degree graduate program in occupational therapy was established between a Chinese and an American university.

Purpose: To detect the expression characteristic of circ_0006948 in bladder cancer (BC), and to analyze its relationship with pathological parameters and prognosis in BC patients. In addition, molecular mechanisms of circ_0006948 on driving the malignant progression of BC by activating epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) was explored.

Methods: Circ_0006948 levels in 72 BC and paracancerous tissues were detected, and their relationship with pathological parameters and prognosis in BC patients was analyzed by chi-square test.

Objective: To compare clinical effects of different postoperative rehabilitation modes on lumbar degenerative diseases, and explore influence of rehabilitation mode and other factors on postoperative effect.

Methods: From June 2013 to July 2016, totally 900 patients were admitted from nine tertiary hospitals in Beijing to perform single segment bone grafting and internal fixation due to lumbar degenerative diseases were prospectively analyzed. There were 428 males and 472 females, the age of patient over 18 years old, with an average of (51.

Kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC) is the most common and aggressive type of renal cell carcinoma. Due to high mortality rate, high metastasis rate and chemical resistance, the prognosis of KIRC patients is poor. Therefore, it is necessary to study the mechanisms of KIRC development and to develop more effective prognostic molecular biomarkers to help clinical patients.

Background and Purpose- Stroke disability is a major health burden in rural China where rehabilitation services are inadequate. We aimed to determine the effectiveness of a novel nurse-led, caregiver-delivered model of stroke rehabilitation in rural China. Methods- A multicenter prospective, randomized open, blinded outcome assessed, controlled trial was conducted in 3 rural county hospitals in China: Zhangwu, Liaoning Province (Northeast); Qingtongxia, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region (Northwest); and Dianjiang, Chongqing Municipality (Southwest).

Kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC) is the most common type of renal cell carcinoma. While a number of treatments have been developed over the past few decades, the prognosis of patients with KIRC remains poor due to tumor metastasis and recurrence. Therefore, the molecular mechanisms of KIRC require to be elucidated in order to identify novel biomarkers.

In this paper, we aim to investigate the effect of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF)-based rehabilitation for ankle plantar flexors spasticity by using a Robotic Ankle-foot Rehabilitation System (RARS). A modified robot-assisted system was proposed, and seven poststroke patients with hemiplegic spastic ankles participated in a 3-month robotic PNF training. Their impaired sides were used as the experimental group, while their unimpaired sides as the control group.

Rationale: Stroke is the leading cause of death and disability in rural China. For stroke patients residing in resource-limited rural areas, secondary prevention and rehabilitation are largely unavailable, and where present, are far below evidence-based standards.

Aim: This study aims to develop and implement a simplified stroke rehabilitation program that utilizes nurses and family caregivers for service delivery, and evaluate its feasibility and effectiveness in rural China.

Ankle joint with spasticity and/or contracture can severely affect mobility and independence of stroke survivors. Due to that, the Achilles tendon(AT) is affected. In this paper, we aim to study changes of AT properties via proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) treatment.

Background: Low back pain (LBP) is a common clinical problem. Many researchers have demonstrated that LBP disorders have difference in sensory strategies for postural control. Optokinetic stimulation (OKS) of optic flow has been widely applied to study its effect on vision, but has not been applied to LBP.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of tertiary rehabilitation treatment on acute cerebrovascular diseases.

Methods: Fifteen tertiary rehabilitation networks were set up throughout the country. 1078 patients with acute cerebrovascular diseases were randomly divided into 2 groups: rehabilitation group and control group, out of which 19 patients died, 157 dropped out, and 7 successive evaluations were completed in 902 patients that.
