Electrophysiological properties of ion channels can influence the transport process of ions and the generation of firing patterns in an excitable biological neuron when applying an external stimulus and exceeding the excitable threshold. In this paper, a current stimulus is employed to emulate the external stimulus, and a second-order locally active memristor (LAM) is deployed to characterize the properties of ion channels. Given the rapid increase in climate change, investigating the impact of climate change on the transmission mechanism of tick-borne diseases is imperative. In order to fully capture the influence of the seasonal variation of temperature, environmental disturbances and the co-feeding transmission on the spread of tick-borne diseases, we propose a novel stochastic dynamical model that couples the mean-reverting Ornstein-Uhlenbeck temperature equation with periodic input to the tick-borne disease model. Through theoretical analysis, we derive sufficient conditions for the extinction of tick populations and the eradication of tick-borne diseases, as well as the stochastic persistence conditions of the system.

We aim to investigate muscle ARNT-like protein 1 (BMAL1) regulation of syntaxin17 (STX17) in mouse hippocampal neurons, focusing on autophagy and amyloid-β (Aβ) deposition. Autophagosome-lysosome fusion in APP/PS1 hippocampal tissues was observed using transmission electron microscopy, while mRNA levels of LC3II and P62 were measured via reverse-transcription PCR (RT-PCR) after Amyloid precursor protein (APP) overexpression. STX17, linked to autophagy and differentially expressed in Alzheimer's disease (AD) brains, was knocked down or overexpressed to assess its effects.

In the context of escalating energy demands and environmental sustainability, the paradigm of global energy systems is undergoing a transformative shift to innovative and reliable energy-harvesting techniques ranging from solar cells to triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) to hybrid energy systems, where a fever in the study of perovskite materials has been set off due to the excellent optoelectronic properties and defect tolerance features. This review begins with the basic properties of perovskite materials and the fundamentals of TENGs, including their working principles and general developing strategy, then delves into the key role of perovskite materials in promoting TENG-based hybrid technologies in terms of energy conversion. While spotlighting the coupling of triboelectric-optoelectronic effects in harnessing energy from a variety of sources, thereby transcending the limitations inherent to single-source energy systems, this review pays special attention to the strategic incorporation of perovskite materials into TENGs and TENG-based energy converting systems, which heralds a new frontier in enhancing efficiency, stability, and adaptability.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a common neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra and the accumulation of α-synuclein in the brain. Ferroptosis, a recently identified form of regulated cell death, is critical in PD pathogenesis due to its association with iron deposition, overproduction of reactive oxygen species, iron-dependent lipid peroxidation and impaired lipid peroxidation clearance. This cell death mechanism is closely linked to several pathogenic processes in PD, including α-synuclein aggregation, oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, microglia-induced neuroinflammation, and neuromelanin accumulation.
