To study the effect of polycrystalline 3C-SiC rough friction surface on the mechanism of subsurface brittleness during nanocrystalline grinding. Initial grinding models of polycrystalline 3C-SiC and diamond abrasive grains on rough friction surfaces are developed using molecular dynamics methods and the Voronoi method for constructing polycrystalline abrasive grains. The processing mechanism of 3C-SiC is analyzed by post-processing methods such as dislocation defect analysis, atomic arrangement analysis and stress analysis.

Starch was mixed with a gel to produce a starch-based gel ink, which exhibited favorable printing characteristics. Through the optimization of infill density, 3D-printed scaffolds with 50% infill density and a highly ordered microstructure were successfully fabricated. The addition of calcium carbonate nanoparticles-glucono delta lactone (CaCO NPs-GDL) had notable effects on the swelling degree, digestion, water stability, and pore distribution of the scaffolds.

The migration and transformation mechanisms of arsenic (As) in soil environments necessitate an understanding of its influencing processes. Here, we investigate the subsurface biogeochemical transformation of As and iron (Fe) through amended in the top 20 cm with iron oxidizing bacteria (FeOB) and organic fertilizer (OF). This study discusses acoustic dissipation, which contributes to inaccuracies in impedance tube measurements. To improve the accuracy of these measurements, this paper introduces a transfer function model that integrates diverse dissipation prediction models. Bayesian inference is used to estimate the important parameters included in these models, describing dissipation originating from various mechanisms, sound speed, and microphone positions.

Background: Sacubitril/valsartan (S/V) has been shown to be an effective antihypertensive drug combination. However, its therapeutic effects on blood pressure (BP), hemodynamics, and left ventricular (LV) remodeling in resistant hypertension (RHTN) remain unclear.

Current methods of representing energy flows in rooms have been limited to stationary pressure contour maps or intensity vectors derived from finite-element modeling (FEM) software. Despite recent advances in FEM analysis, such models are at best approximations of real-world phenomena because of the assumptions made in obtaining these results. This paper presents an energy flow visualization tool that combines the well-accepted practice of scale modeling in performance venue acoustics design and recent advances in sensor technology to provide rapid and accurate real-time maps of intensity flows derived from simultaneously-measured pressure and velocity quantities in the studied space.

Sound speed, microphone positions, and tube wall dissipation are critical parameters for absorption and impedance measurements using the transfer-function method in an impedance tube. This work applies a Bayesian method, based on a reflection coefficient model of an air layer and a boundary layer dissipation model, to estimate the values of these parameters for tube measurements. The composites of expanded graphite (EG) and magnetic particles have good electromagnetic wave attenuation properties in the centimeter band, which is valuable in the field of radar wave interference. In this paper, a novel preparation method of Ni-Zn ferrite intercalated EG (NZF/EG) is provided in order to promote the insertion of Ni-Zn ferrite particles (NZF) into the interlayers of EG. The NZF/EG composite is in situ prepared via thermal treatment of Ni-Zn ferrite precursor intercalated graphite (NZFP/GICs) at 900 °C, where NZFP/GICs is obtained through chemical coprecipitation.

Plane-wave decompositions, whereby a measured sound field is described as a superposition of plane waves, are central to many applications in acoustics and audio engineering. This letter applies a Bayesian probabilistic inference framework to the plane wave decomposition problem and examines the Deviance Information Criterion (DIC) for selecting the optimum number of waves in the decomposition.
