Accurate precipitation data is an important state variable in various application fields such as geohazard early warning, flood, and drought hazard monitoring and evaluation. This study proposed a precipitation reforecast inversion model based on Random Forest and Wavelet Multi-Resolution Analysis (RF-WMRA) method. In the basin along the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, we constructed the reforecast inversion model by using the fifth generation of atmospheric reanalysis of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ERA5) and Global Satellite Mapping of Precipitation (GSMaP) precipitation data and considering several geo-environmental variables such as elevation, humidity, temperature, and wind speed.

Nonhealing diabetic wounds are predominantly attributed to the inhibition of angiogenesis, re-epithelialization, and extracellular matrix (ECM) synthesis caused by hypoxia. Although oxygen therapy has demonstrated efficacy in promoting healing, its therapeutic impact remains suboptimal due to unsustainable oxygenation. Here, this work proposes an oxygen-releasing hydrogel patch embedded with polyethylene glycol-modified calcium peroxide microparticles, which sustainably releases oxygen for 7 days without requiring any supplementary conditions.

This paper analyzes the influence of the overlying extremely thick primary key stratum on the strong mine pressure hazard at the large mining face in Gaojiapu coal mine. The analysis of the distribution characteristics of the primary key stratum in the Gaojiapu coal mine reveals the bow-shaped structural characteristics of the overlying thick primary key stratum. An elastodynamic model was developed using the variational method to calculate and analyze the influence of the movement of the primary key stratum on the stress and energy of the underlying weak rock.

Background And Objective: Ovarian cancer is among the most lethal of all malignancies in women. While chemotherapy is the preferred treatment modality, chemoresistance severely limits treatment success. Because transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) could increase survival of ovarian cancer cells in the presence of cisplatin, we conducted a preclinical study of the antitumor effects of the TGF-β type I (TβRI) and type II (TβRII) kinase inhibitor LY2109761 in combination with cisplatin.

Introduction: Pharmaceutical cocrystallization has emerged in the past decade as a new strategy to enhance the clinical performance of orally administered drugs. A pharmaceutical cocrystal is a multi-component crystalline material in which the active pharmaceutical ingredient is in a stoichiometric ratio with a second compound that is generally a solid under ambient conditions. The resulting cocrystal exhibits different solid-state thermodynamics, leading to changes in physicochemical properties that offer the potential to significantly modify drug pharmacokinetics.

Pharmaceutical cocrystals, a subset of a long known but little-studied class of compounds, represent an emerging class of crystal forms in the context of pharmaceutical science. They are attractive to pharmaceutical scientists because they can significantly diversify the number of crystal forms that exist for a particular active pharmaceutical ingredient (API), and they can lead to improvements in physical properties of clinical relevance. In this article we address pharmaceutical cocrystals from the perspective of design (crystal engineering) and present a series of case studies that demonstrate how they can enhance the solubility, bioavailability, and/or stability of API crystal forms.
