Purpose: Ollier's disease (multiple enchondromatosis) can cause severe lower limb length discrepancy and deformity in children. Osteotomy and limb lengthening with external fixation can correct the lower extremity deformity. There may be lesions in the osteotomy part (OP), and the internal fixation part of the external fixation(FP).

Background: Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the Tibia (CPT) is a rare pediatric condition presenting substantial challenges for orthopedic surgeons. Aiming to achieve bone union, with subsequent complications such as refractures being common. The aim of the present study is to evaluate the results of our intentional cross-union protocol and to compare these outcomes with those obtained from our previously used techniques.

Adenosine deaminase acting on RNA 2 (ADAR2) can cause abnormal editing or loss of normal editing, which results in cell damage and related diseases.

Recent studies have indicated that hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis activity could be a promising focus in understanding and addressing the development of treatments for comorbid CHD and anxiety or depression. The HPA axis helps to regulate the levels of inflammatory factors, thereby reducing oxidative stress damage, promoting platelet activation, and stabilizing gut microbiota, which enhance the survival and regeneration of neurons, endothelial cells, and other cell types, leading to neuroprotective and cardioprotective benefits.

The discovery of novel AMPs from natural sources is crucial for expanding our current database of these peptides. Here, we identified and characterized a novel member of the crustin family, named Crus-SWD1, derived from .

Since, for some applications, the desired resolution for spatial omics approaches the nanometer scale, classical tools have inherent limitations when applied to spatial omics analyses, and they can measure only a limited number of targets. Nanotechnology applications have been instrumental in overcoming these bottlenecks.

This study used network analysis to identify the central skills and network association of different social-emotional skills and investigated how these networks differ between childhood and adolescence. Data were obtained from the 2019 Survey on Social and Emotional Skills by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development.

Ultrasound (US) based radiomics is susceptible to variations in scanners, sonographers. To retrospectively investigate the feasibility of an adapted cycle generative adversarial networks (CycleGAN) in the style transfer to improve US based radiomics in the prediction of lymph node metastasis (LNM) with images from multiple scanners for patients with early cervical cancer (ECC). The CycleGAN was firstly trained to transfer paired US phantom images from one US device to another one; the model was then further trained and tested with clinical US images of ECC by transferring images from four US devices to one specific device; finally, the adapted model was tested with its effects on the radiomics feature harmonization and accuracy of LNM prediction in US based radiomics for ECC patients.

Early and accurate diagnosis holds significant importance in enhancing patient treatment and prognosis. Machine learning technology and bioinformatics have provided novel approaches for cancer diagnosis.

Methods: Patients with atlantoaxial joint infra-anterior dislocation complicating odontoid fracture received conservative treatment, which comprised three steps: cervical traction (2 weeks), plaster fixation (2 months), and brace fixation (3 months).
Results: We treated three patients (boy:girl = 0:3, mean age = 2.
The novel inflammatory markers neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and systemic immunoinflammatory index (SII) have not yet been used in the study of age-related cataracts. The aim of this study was to investigate the possible relationships between the NLR, PLR, and SII and age-related cataracts. In the 2005-2008 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) cross-sectional surveys, we collected complete information on blood counts, whether cataract surgery had been performed, and baseline information for adults.

However, current studies should mainly focus on the therapeutic effects of traditional Chinese medicines alone. This paper will employ a network meta-analysis to compare the efficacy of different TCM decoctions in the treatment of patients with ischemic stroke.

Objective: To investigate the differences in headache and comorbidity symptoms between migraine patients with negative and positive food specific IgG antibodies, and explore the correlation between these symptoms with food specific IgG antibodies.
Methods: A total of 129 migraine patients were enrolled. Seven questionnaires were used to gather information regarding the symptoms of migraine, gastrointestinal, depression, anxiety, and sleep.
Aims: Congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia (CPT) has traditionally been a difficult condition to treat, with high complication rates, including nonunion, refractures, malalignment, and leg length discrepancy. Surgical approaches to treatment of CPT include intramedullary rodding, external fixation, combined intramedullary rodding and external fixation, vascularized fibular graft, and most recently cross-union. The current study aims to compare the outcomes and complication rates of cross-union versus other surgical approaches as an index surgery for the management of CPT.

This study aimed to investigate the dose and trough concentration () of posaconazole delayed-release tablets and injections, and their correlation with efficacy and safety in pediatric patients. Patients younger than 18 years old received posaconazole delayed-release tablets or injections for prophylaxis or treatment of invasive fungal disease (IFD). Blood samples were collected to determine the plasma s, and dose regimen adjustments were made if necessary.

Background: Post-spinal cord injury (SCI) inflammation correlates with neurologic recovery. Through sequencing, we explored the roles of a differentially expressed circRNA in mice after SCI, circGla, on inflammation and recovery of SCI.
Methods: The T8-T10 SCI model was established in C57BL6 mice.
Semi-solid preparations such as ointments, creams, gels, and pastes are common topical dosage forms with complex compositions and microstructures. pH is a critical quality attribute for semi-solid preparations, affecting properties such as particle size distribution, drug dissociation state, and rheological behavior. Currently, traditional pH electrode methods only provide an "average" pH for large-volume matrices, with low spatial resolution and accuracy.
