Cell therapy encompasses both nonengineered and engineered cells and possesses unique abilities such as sense-and-respond functions and long-term engraftment for persistent curative potential. Cell therapy capabilities have expanded to address a wide spectrum of diseases, and our review is focused on dermatological applications.

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory skin condition wish a complex pathogenesis influenced by multiple factors, including diet. This manuscript summarizes current literature on the potential role of diet in HS management. Various dietary interventions, including the Mediterranean diet, elimination diets and specific nutrient supplementation, have shown promise in individual cases and observational studies.

Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a major complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) that leads to significant morbidity and mortality. The alteration in the signaling mechanism in diabetes leading to cardiomyopathy remains unclear. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of tauopathy in myocardial dysfunction observed in T2DM.

Testing the Reliability of Optical Coherence Tomography to Measure Epidermal Thickness and Distinguish Volar and Nonvolar Skin.

In persons with limb loss, prosthetic devices cause skin breakdown, largely because residual limb skin (nonvolar) is not intended to bear weight such as palmoplantar (volar) skin. Before evaluation of treatment efficacy to improve skin resiliency, efforts are needed to establish normative data and assess outcome metric reliability. The purpose of this study was to use optical coherence tomography to (i) characterize volar and nonvolar skin epidermal thickness and (ii) examine the reliability of optical coherence tomography.

Positive correlation of hidradenitis suppurativa and ultra-processed foods consumption.

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory skin condition whose pathogenesis is not well established. An association between HS and obesity is suggested but few studies explore specific dietary drivers. Non-Hispanic Blacks have the highest HS prevalence and obesity rates as well as the highest UPFs consumption rates, as opposed to Hispanics who have the lowest prevalence of HS despite having the second highest obesity rates in the US.

Smoking Habits and Nicotine Dependence Among the General Lebanese Population Before and During Both the Economic Crisis and COVID-19 Pandemic.

Objective: Smoking habits have widely changed over time; however, they remain a well-known fashion that risks people's health. In addition, nicotine addiction depends on the interplay between several factors. Our study aimed to understand the smoking habits and nicotine dependence in the Lebanese population before (September 2019) and during (June 2020) the economic crisis and COVID-19 pandemic.
