Randomized controlled trial of back school with and without peer support.

The aim of this trial was to determine whether social interaction between patients with long-lasting nonspecific back pain reduces subjective or objective disability. The participants were selected from persons visiting an occupational health care unit because of back pain. After a clinical examination in a university clinic, subjects without a specific diagnosis and having no disabilities preventing active rehabilitation were selected for study.

Physical Strain and Work Ergonomics in Farmers with Disabilities.

In agriculture, occupational injuries are common, and several of them lead to permanent physical disability. The objective of this case study was to assess the strain and the ergonomic needs of four farmers (aged 34-49 years) with physical disabilities. A maximal bicycle ergometer test or an arm-crank test was done to assess their maximal heart rate (HR ) and maximal oxygen consumption (V0).

Footedness and Mounting-Short Review and Two Case Studies.

Footedness is a personal quality like handedness. Footedness may be associated with moving ability during mounting, dismounting, and jumping movements. Occupational accidents have occurred during movement at different working levels, during the use of access and exit systems, and during the mounting of vehicles.
