- Joint hypermobility (GJH) allows the joints to move beyond normal limits and is more common in younger individuals, which can lead to increased flexibility but also higher risk for musculoskeletal issues like osteoarthritis (OA).
- This study focuses on assessing GJH and its relationship with OA in 116 young to middle-aged women in southern Lahore, using the Beighton criterion for evaluation.
- Results showed that 67.24% of participants exhibited some level of hypermobility; however, there was no significant correlation found between body mass index (BMI) and GJH.
