- Chronic wounds require tailored therapies, leading to the development of a chitosan-based scaffold for 24-hour controlled release of Dexketoprofen trometamol (DKT).
- Three prototypes were created using different compositions (chitosan, chitosan:PVA, and chitosan:gelatin) and tested for compatibility and structure.
- The chitosan:gelatin formulation (F3) showed the best controlled release of DKT, maintaining effective drug delivery and minimizing initial burst release, making it a promising option for improving wound healing.
