Unlabelled: Cancer peptide vaccination represents a promising therapeutic approach, but has been hampered by lack of suitable antigens and restricted applicability due to different HLA backgrounds of individual patients. We here introduce a novel warehouse-based concept for composition of personalized peptide vaccines and report on its successful application in a Phase II clinical trial in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) after first-line therapy. 26 CLL patients in at least partial remission (PR) after 6 months of immuno-chemotherapy were vaccinated with a personalized vaccine compiled from a premanufactured peptide warehouse comprising immunopeptidome-defined CLL-associated peptides.

Purpose: Multi-zoom microscopic surface reconstructions of operating sites, especially in ENT surgeries, would allow multimodal image fusion for determining the amount of resected tissue, for recognizing critical structures, and novel tools for intraoperative quality assurance. State-of-the-art three-dimensional model creation of the surgical scene is challenged by the surgical environment, illumination, and the homogeneous structures of skin, muscle, bones, etc., that lack invariant features for stereo reconstruction.

T-cell immunity is central for control of COVID-19, particularly in patients incapable of mounting antibody responses. CoVac-1 is a peptide-based T-cell activator composed of SARS-CoV-2 epitopes with documented favorable safety profile and efficacy in terms of SARS-CoV-2-specific T-cell response. A 44-year-old man, with a history of arterial hypertension, was referred with increasing shortness of breath due to a large pericardial effusion and imminent tamponade. Emergency ultrasound-guided pericardiocentesis resulted in the rapid withdrawal of 2760 cc of serous fluid. 3 hours later, the patient developed acute pulmonary oedema, which was successfully treated.

Objective: To assess the effects of antiretroviral combination therapy that contains protease inhibitor (PI) on carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected children.
