Objective: To determine the clinical and pathopsychological features of youth depressions with attenuated schizophrenic symptoms (ASS), and their significance for early differential diagnostic and nosological assessment.
Material And Methods: Twenty young patients (19.7±3.
Background: Data on genetic markers that determine the prognosis of multiple sclerosis (MS) is still limited. The association between galanin gene polymorphism rs948854 and prognosis of MS had been demonstrated earlier.
Objectives: To confirm earlier findings in a distinct from the previously studied cohort of patients, and to further characterized the rs948854 polymorphism as one of the candidates for the risk stratification in patients with MS.
Setting: In a private medical center, 300 patients who underwent a laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) were classified into 4 groups according to their eating behaviors (EB) preoperatively. During a 3-year postoperative follow-up, dietary changes in relation to weight loss were studied.
Objectives: To explore the influence of abnormal EB on the outcome of sleeve gastrectomy.
Objective: To determine the impact of sleeve gastrectomy in patients suffering from depression compared with those who are not in a depressive state.
Introduction: Obesity is considered a global epidemic. Often patients with obesity suffer from depressive state.

Aim: To describe characteristics of the intestinal microbiota in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) treated with glatiramer acetate (GA) or fingolimode (FG) for understanding causal relationships between gut microbiota and autoimmune processes in MS patients.
Material And Methods: The study included 34 patients treated with GA (n=17) or FG (n=17). GA was used in a dose of 20 mg/kg subcutaneously once a day, FG in a dose of 0.
Background: Fatigue is a common complaint in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS), and its detection and monitoring are based on self-reported questionnaires. The objective of this study was to validate the Russian translation of the Fatigue Impact Scale (FIS) and the Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS) in MS patients and controls.
Methods: We included 85 MS patients and 250 age-, sex-, and body mass index (BMI)-matched controls.
Aim: To determine a therapeutic effect of agomelatine (valdoxan) on post-schizophrenic depression (PSD), taking into account its psychopathological structure.
Material And Methods: A total of 33 patients of both sexes (average age was 32.1 yrs) with symptoms of post-schizophrenic depression (F20.
Aim: To assess the efficacy and safety of pantogam active (PA) in prevention and correction of neurological side-effects during the course neuroleptic treatment of acute endogenous psychoses.
Material And Methods: Eighty schizophrenic patients (mean age 33 years) with acute psychosis were examined. All patients received 28-day course treatment with typical and atypical neuroleptics.

Aim: To study the therapeutic action of ethylmethylhydroxypyridine succinate (mexidol) on the neurodegeneration in multiple sclerosis (MS).
Material And Methods: Fifty-two MS patients and 24 healthy controls were examined using DTI MRI with tractography.
Results And Conclusion: Ethylmethylhydroxypyridine succinate can prevent the progression of neurodegenerative processes in MS.

Objective: To analyze the therapeutic effect of valdoxan on symptoms of anhedonia in patients with endogenous depressions and to develop indications for its use.
Material And Methods: Authors examined 30 women, mean age 35,9 years with anhedonic depression (ICD-10 items F31.3-4, F33.

Objective: To identify people at high risk of endogenous psychosis in patients of juvenile age with nonpsychotic mental disorders.
Material And Methods: Authors examine 49 patients of juvenile age with symptoms of nonpsychotic mental disorders (ICD-10 diagnoses of mood disorder, personality disorder or schizotypal disorder).
Results: In all cases, symptoms related to signs of the premorbid stage of endogenous psychosis (schizophrenia and schizoaffective psychosis) were identified.

Circadian rhythm of sleep-wakefulness and evacuation function of intestines, symptoms of neuropsychic adaptation were investigated in 36 patients, aged 21-53 years, with multiple sclerosis (MS). Frequencies of circadian rhythm disturbances of brain activity (insomnia in 66% of patients) and circadian rhythm disturbances of intestine evacuation (constipation in 72% of patients) were revealed. Insomnia and irritability in MS patients with bradyenteria occur 1.

Authors studied 1013 first- and second degree relatives in families of 193 probands. The probands were stratified by clinical diagnosis into 6 groups: 1) nuclear variant of schizoaffective psychosis (SAP); 2) "marginal" (intermediate) variant of SAP; 3) schizoaffective variant of schizophrenia; 4) recurrent schizophrenia; 5) attack-like progressive schizophrenia; 6) bipolar affective disorder or manic-depressive psychosis (MDP). Probands (n=109) and their relatives were studied using the direct clinical examination; the study of 84 probands and their relatives was based on the medical records from the genetic archive of Mental Health Research Center, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.

Treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS) remains one of the most serious problems of modern medicine though a significant progress in understanding of disease pathogenesis has been achieved over the last years. Currently there are the ways of modifying the disease course that improve the remote prognosis. In this review, we present results of studies of drugs modifying the MS course which have been approved for MS treatment and those that are in the stage of clinical trials and expected to enlarge possibilities of MS treatment.

Gait disturbance is a prominent disabling presentation of multiple sclerosis. The data on the distribution of plantar pressure during gait and its relation to the level of neurological deficit in various disturbances of pyramidal and cerebral functions in remitting type of multiple sclerosis are presented.

They included sporadic gastric (GC), family gastric (FGC), sporadic colorectal (CC) and hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal (HNPCC) carcinomas having appropriate clinical and pathological characteristics. Each group consisted of two types of carcinomas, one of them showing MIN.

In the framework of a multicentre WHO research program results of prophylactic treatment with lithium carbonate of 77 patients with affective phasic disorders were compared with a series of clinical parameters, specificity of lithium pharmacokinetics and the background characteristics of families in the groups of responders (68.8%) and non-responders. Correlations of efficacy with pharmacokinetic parameters were absent.

The correlation (P < 0.01) between the increased copy number of mentioned oncogenes and LOH at 17p was demonstrated for tumours tested: extra copies of these oncogenes were revealed in 11 of 46 DNA specimens with LOH on ynz-22, but only in 3 of 61 without LOH.

Amplification of the HER-2 oncogene was detected in 15 tumours (25%), c-myc in 2 (3%) only and HER-1 in none. Distribution of Hras-1 oncogene alleles in BC did not significantly differ from that seen in healthy donors.
