The dynamics and processes of nutrient cycling and release were examined for a lowland wetland-pond system, draining woodland in southern England. Hydrochemical and meteorological data were analyzed from 1997 to 2017, along with high-resolution in situ sensor measurements from 2016 to 2017. The results showed that even a relatively pristine wetland can become a source of highly bioavailable phosphorus (P), nitrogen (N), and silicon (Si) during low-flow periods of high ecological sensitivity.

The intended outcome of dental education is to produce dental clinicians who have the knowledge, technical skills, personal attributes, values and professional outlook to deliver the highest level of patient care. Due to the development and improvement of dental materials and clinical techniques, combined with a steady rise in patient expectations and complaints, prosthodontics has developed into a dental speciality recognised by the General Dental Council. Going forward, there will be a requirement to provide complex and difficult operative and prosthodontic dentistry.

A core, or foundation restoration, is used to restore extensively damaged teeth to a form suitable for crown preparation. This literature review considers the range of materials which can be used for cores and the evidence for their suitability. The methods for their retention in vital teeth will be presented and appraised.
