The literature regarding OCT-A in sclerochoroidal calcification is scarce. We present the case of a 57-year-old female who was referred to the clinic due to an atypical choroidal lesion in the right eye.

Purpose: To determine the efficacy and safety data of aflibercept + FOLFIRI in wt RAS mCRC patients after progression to standard chemotherapy + anti-EGFR treatment.

Methods: Retrospective, observational study in real life conducted in wt RAS mCRC patients treated with FOLFIRI-aflibercept after progression to standard first line chemotherapy + anti-EGFR treatment.

Results: A total of 120 patients from 12 Spanish hospitals were enrolled.

Spatial epidemiology of bat-transmitted rabies in cattle has been limited to spatial distribution of cases, an approach that does not identify hidden patterns and the spread resulting in outbreaks in endemic and susceptible areas. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the three variables average annual maximum, annual minimum temperature and precipitation in the region on the one hand, and the spatial distribution of cases on the other, using geographic information systems and co-Kriging considering that these environmental variables condition the existence of the rabies vector Desmodus rotundus. A stationary behaviour between the primary and the secondary variables was verified by basic statistics and moving window statistics.

However, a large proportion of the population consumes olive oil after a depurative process that not only mellows its taste, but also deprives it of polyphenols and other minority components. In this study, we compare the influence on the intestinal microbiota of a diet high in this refined olive oil (ROO) with other fat-enriched diets.

Efficacy of weekly paclitaxel treatment as a single agent chemotherapy following first-line cisplatin treatment in urothelial bladder cancer.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the efficacy of paclitaxel following a first-line cisplatin regimen in patients with metastatic bladder cancer. The present study retrospectively evaluated the clinical effects and toxicities of second-line paclitaxel regimens following first-line cisplatin treatment in metastatic bladder cancer. A total of 42 patients with progressing metastatic urothelial bladder cancer following cisplatin-based chemotherapy were enrolled.

Background: Zoledronic acid effectively reduces skeletal events in patients with metastatic disease. The results of pre-clinical and emerging clinical data suggest an additional activity of zoledronic acid as an antitumor agent, interfering with the growth and dissemination of malignant cells. However, the mechanisms by which zoledronic acid impairs tumor progression are practically unknown.

GH levels increase to high concentrations immediately before puberty then progressively decline with age. GH deficiency (GHD) originating in childhood is treated with GH supplementation to foster somatic development during adolescence. It is not clear if or how early GH replacement affects memory in adulthood, or whether it can prevent the cognitive deficits commonly observed in adults with childhood-onset GHD.
