Objectives: Endoscopic necrosectomy (EN) is a promising minimally invasive approach for treating infected walled-off pancreatic necrosis (WOPN). Multiple EN approaches are currently available, though criteria for selecting the optimal approaches are lacking. We aimed to propose a rational selection strategy of EN and to retrospectively evaluate its safety and effectiveness.

In view of the fact that current attention-recognition studies are mostly single-level-based, this paper proposes a multi-level attention-recognition method based on feature selection. Four experimental scenarios are designed to induce high, medium, low, and non-externally directed attention states. A total of 10 features are extracted from 10 electroencephalogram (EEG) channels, respectively, including time-domain measurements, sample entropy, and frequency band energy ratios.

To understand the basic genetic structure for those traits, a genome wide association study was performed on milk yield, milk fat yield, milk fat percentage, milk protein yield, milk protein percentage, somatic cell score, body form composite index, daily capacity composite index, feed, and leg conformation traits, based on the Illumina Bovine HD100k BeadChip. A total of 57, 12 and 26 SNPs were found to be related to the milk production, somatic cell score and body conformation traits in the Holstein cattle.

In the present work, molecular dynamics (MD) is conducted to investigate the irradiation effects and mechanical response changes of GaAs nanowires (NWs) under heavy-ion irradiation. For this simulation, single-ion damage and high-dose ion injection are used to reveal defect generation and accumulation mechanisms.

Here, we demonstrated and that Sal enhanced the inhibitory activity of doxorubicin (DOX) in drug-resistant cancer cell lines.

Here, we demonstrated and that britanin inhibited the growth of human prostate cancer cell lines (PC-3, PC-3-LUC, and DU-145). Through study, the results showed that britanin significantly decreased cell proliferation, migration, and motility.

We used an innovative approach involving hot pressing, low energy consumption, and no adhesive to transform bamboo biomass into a natural sustainable fiber-based biocomposite for structural and furniture applications. Analyses showed strong internal bonding through mechanical "nail-like" nano substances, hydrogen, and ester and ether bonds. The biocomposite encompasses a 10-fold increase in internal bonding strength with improved water resistance, fire safety, and environmentally friendly properties as compared to existing furniture materials using hazardous formaldehyde-based adhesives.

A previous study reported that lncRNAZXF1 was dysregulated in LA and enhanced expression of ZXF1 promoted the invasion and metastasis in LA. However, the effect of ZXF1 on LA progression and its underlying mechanisms were not thoroughly investigated.

Although natural fiber does not show high-thermal conductivity itself, this study found that the synergy of natural fiber with hBN could significantly improve thermal conductivity, compared with that solely using hBN. A design of mixtures approach using constant fibers with increasing volume fractions of hBN was examined and compared.

But little is known about their contribution in small-cell lung cancer (SCLC). This study was designed to investigate the expression of survivin and VEGF in SCLC, and to explore their correlation with clinical-pathological feature and prognosis.

It has been used in a number of different industrial applications including food, feed, pharmaceutical, pulp/paper industries, and second generation biofuel. To optimize the expression system of mannanase Man23 gene, two kinds of vectors and host bacteria were determined and compared.

In order to assess the effect of extension rate, both quasi-static and high-rate tensile properties were determined for single fibers of major (MA) and minor (MI) ampullate single silk from the orb weaving spider Nephila clavipes . Low rate tests have been performed using a DMA Q800 at 10(-3) s(-1), while high rate analysis was done at 1700 s(-1) utilizing a miniature Kolsky bar apparatus.

Background And Objective: Excision repair cross-complementing 1 (Excision-Repair Cross-Complementing 1, ERCC1), an important member of the DNA repair gene family, plays a key role in nucleotide excision repair and apoptosis of tumor cells. Protein kinase C-alpha (Protein kinase C, PKCalpha), an isozyme in protein kinase C family, is an important signaling molecule in signal transduction pathways of tumors, which has been implicated in malignant transformation and proliferation. The aim of this study was to explore the clinical significance of ERCC1 and PKCalpha in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Objective: To analyze the reason of tumor treatment-related premature ovarian failure, and to review the progress of ovarian functional reconstruction.
Methods: The literature about the effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy on ovarian function and reconstruct ovarian function was reviewed, analysed and summarized.
Results: Radiotherapy and chemotherapy can both affect ovarian function.
Background And Objective: Survivin, a member of inhibitors of apoptosis protein (IAP) family, is expressed in most tumors as well as in different subcelluar units of tumors. This study was to investigate the clinical significance of survivin in different subcellular units in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Methods: The protein expression of survivin was detected by immunohistochemistry (IHC) in the specimens from 51 cases of NSCLC and 21 cases of paracancerous tissues.
