Neurosyphilis results from infection of the central nervous system (CNS) by Treponema pallidum. Neurosyphilis can occur at any time after initial infection, particularly in immunocompromised patients. We describe a case of a 47-year-old man who presented with mixed dysphasia, right upper motor neuron facial palsy and right hemiparesis.

Reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome is characterised by severe thunderclap headache with associated characteristic transient, multifocal, segmental vasoconstriction of cerebral arteries lasting several weeks to months. We describe a 50-years old woman who presented with a severe sudden onset occipital headache. Neuroimaging revealed segmental vasospasm affecting the intracerebral arteries.
