Purpose: A survey was conducted to obtain feedback from registered nurses as end-users of standardized nursing terminology for care planning in an electronic health record. Revisions to the care plan terminology were completed as part of an evidence-based project by nurses at one facility.

Methods: The survey was conducted pre-, post-, and 2-year post-implementation to obtain feedback from the acute care registered nurses (RNs).

The purpose of this study was to compare 2 alignment methods for total knee arthroplasty (TKA): kinematic alignment with the use of patient-specific guides and mechanical alignment with conventional instruments. A randomized, controlled trial of 41 kinematically aligned and 41 mechanically aligned patients was conducted with the patient, radiographic evaluator, and clinical evaluator blinded to the alignment technique. Radiographic measurements were made from long-leg computer tomography scanograms.

The wealth and value of organizations are increasingly based on intellectual capital. Although acquiring talented individuals and investing in employee learning adds value to the organization, reaping the benefits of intellectual capital involves translating the wisdom of employees into reusable and sustained actions.
