- Prokineticin 1 (PROK1) is important for endometrial receptivity and placental development, yet its potential as a noninvasive biomarker for embryo implantation is still unproven.
- The study aimed to connect PROK1 levels in follicular fluid and fertilization culture media with reproductive outcomes in IVF patients, as well as examine the expression of PROK1 and its receptors in the follicles.
- Results indicated that higher PROK1 levels were associated with successful embryo implantation, showing predictive value, while the expression of the PROK1/PROKR system was confirmed during folliculogenesis.
