Introduction:  Cardioplegia, a therapy designed to induce reversible cardiac arrest, revolutionized cardiovascular surgery. Among the various pharmacological approaches is the histidine-tryptophan-ketoglutarate (HTK) solution. Despite numerous studies, no meta-analysis has investigated the efficacy of the HTK solution in the pediatric population.
