Purpose: This report details the recommendations of a Nursing Best Practice Working Group, which aims to advance best practice in the use of 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) fluorescence-guided surgery (FGS) in patients with high-grade glioma (HGG).

Design: Quality Improvement Project.

Methods: These recommendations were gathered during a meeting of a Nursing Best Practice Working Group comprising expert nurses and practice administrators from five US centers of excellence in the management of HGG.

The interaction between the 911 complex, via Rad9A, and Claspin is required for activation of the Chk1-mediated checkpoint response, along with ATR, TopBp1, and the 911 clamp loader complex Rad17/RFC. Despite the importance of the Rad9A-Claspin interaction in the cell cycle, this interaction has yet to be characterized. In this work we show this interaction persists in a variety of different conditions.

The principles of radiation physics for plant ecophysiological studies are outlined with an emphasis on choosing appropriate sensors for specific purposes such as for studies of photosynthesis, UV-B damage or canopy energy balance. Remote sensing, both from the ground and from aircraft or satellites, is increasingly being used as a tool for the study of plant canopies. Therefore, relevant terminology and applications are discussed, including the use of remote sensing for the determination of canopy structural properties and the use of thermal remote sensing for the measurement of canopy temperature, for example, in energy balance studies.
