Background: Accurate visual information is needed to guide and perform efficient movements in daily life.
Aims: To investigate the relation between visual functions, functional vision, and bimanual function in children with unilateral cerebral palsy (uCP).
Methods And Procedures: In 49 children with uCP (7-15 y), we investigated the relation between stereoacuity (Titmus Stereo Fly test), visual perception (Test of Visual Perceptual Skills), visuomotor integration (Beery Buktenica Test of Visual-Motor Integration) and functional vision (Flemish cerebral visual impairment questionnaire) with bimanual dexterity (Tyneside Pegboard Test), bimanual coordination (Kinarm exoskeleton robot, Box opening task), and functional hand use (Children's Hand-use Experience Questionnaire; Assisting Hand Assessment) using correlations (r) and elastic-net regularized regressions (d).
Negative urgency (NU), or the tendency to act rashly when stress of negative affect is high, could be the result of an insufficient control of the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (vmPFC) over the striatum, through an impaired dopamine (DA) transmission. Therefore, we investigated in vivo human stress-induced DA release in the vmPFC, its relation with fronto-striatal functional connectivity (FC), and NU in daily life. In total, 12 female healthy participants performed a simultaneous [18 F]fallypride PET and fMRI scan during which stress was induced.

Purpose Of Review: Studies increasingly show the importance of reward processing in binge eating and provide evidence of associated changes in the neurobiological reward system. This review gives an up-to-date overview of the neurobiological substrates of reward processing subconstructs in binge eating. Neural findings are linked to different behavioral theories and the clinical relevance is discussed.

However, prospective research is lacking. Hence, we investigated leukoencephalopathy before and after chemotherapy and its association with a serum neuroaxonal damage marker.

Hence, interventions targeting these underlying mechanisms are needed. In this study, we investigated the effects of a mindfulness-based intervention on brain function and inflammatory profiles in breast cancer survivors with CRCI.

Important factors in this relation between NA and BE could be craving (an intense desire for a BE episode) and negative urgency (the tendency to act rashly when NA is high). Therefore, this study wants to firstly explore the relations between NA, craving, rash action, and BE in daily life and secondly whether craving and rash action mediate the relationship between NA and BE.

In 46 children with uCP (mean age = 10 years 7 months ± 2 years 9 months; Manual Ability Classification System I = 15, II = 16, III = 15) we assessed upper limb somatosensory and motor function. We collected multi-shell diffusion-weighted, T1-weighted and T2-FLAIR MRI and identified the corticospinal tract (CST) wiring pattern using transcranial magnetic stimulation.

In this study, the potential of a mindfulness-based intervention to reduce CRCI in breast cancer survivors, compared with physical training and a wait list control group, was investigated.
Methods: Breast cancer survivors with cognitive complaints (N = 117) were randomly allocated to a mindfulness (n = 43), physical training (n = 36), or wait list control condition (n = 38).
Objective: Changes in reward processing are hypothesized to play a role in the onset and maintenance of binge eating (BE). However, despite an increasing number of studies investigating the neurobiological reward system in individuals who binge eat, no comprehensive systematic review exists on this topic. Therefore, this review has the following objectives: (1) identify structural and functional changes in the brain reward system, either during rest or while performing a task; and (2) formulate directions for future research.

Network analyses are newer in psychiatry and can help to better understand the relationships and interactions between the symptoms of a psychiatric disorder. The aim of this study was threefold: (a) to evaluate connections between schizophrenia symptoms in two populations of patients (patients in the acutely exacerbated phase of schizophrenia and patients with predominant negative symptoms [PNS]), (b) to test whether network analyses support the Mohr 5 factor model of the PANSS and the Kahn 2 factor model of negative symptoms, and finally (c) to identify the most central symptoms in the two populations.

To provide possible directions for future research, this report explored the impact of the Belgian COVID-19 lockdown measures on patients with bulimia nervosa (BN).
Methods: The data of 15 female patients with BN from an ongoing experience sampling method study were analyzed.
