To achieve a more aesthetic and narrower columella, most of the required changes concern the middle and base of the columella. Narrowing and reshaping the columellar base require a sequential approach with good anatomical knowledge and aesthetics analysis. The columellar base is a three-dimensional structure that must be analyzed following three axes: transverse (thickness or width), frontal (height), and sagittal (nasolabial angle).

Background: The management of traumatic ear amputations remains a rare and difficult occurrence for surgeons. This is due to the fact that the chosen replantation technique must ensure the best vascular supply and the surrounding tissues have to be preserved as to not jeopardize a future auricular reconstruction in the event of replantation failure.

Objectives: Mandibular advancement devices (MADs) are the main therapeutic alternative to continuous positive airway pressure for obstructive sleep apnea. Our aim was to evaluate the long-term dentoskeletal side effects of MADs and to identify the predictive factors for these side effects.
