The AsS-Cu interface was studied by dielectric spectroscopy measurements on Cu-AsS-Cu thin film heterostructure samples to assess the charge carriers' contribution to the electrical properties of such an interface. Three-dimensional printed masks ensured good reproducibility during the PLD deposition of heterostructure samples. The samples were tested for electrical conductivity and AC photoconductivity by dielectric spectroscopy measurements.

The work approaches new theoretical and experimental studies in the elastic characterization of materials, based on the properties of the intrinsic transfer matrix. The term 'intrinsic transfer matrix' was firstly introduced by us in order to characterize the system in standing wave case, when the stationary wave is confined inside the sample. An important property of the intrinsic transfer matrix is that at resonance, and in absence of attenuation, the eigenvalues are real.

We performed experimental and computational studies of the acoustic transfer power coefficient for carbon steel cylindric bars placed in axial magnetic field. By experiment, the transmission coefficients of velocity were measured for ferromagnetic bars during the first magnetization curve below saturation. Using the magnetic and magnetostriction material measurements we obtained the profile of the magnetostriction along the distance for a ferromagnetic cylindrical rod placed in a magnetic field parallel with its axis.

The present work represents both an experimental and theoretical investigation of the behavior of finite cylindrical rods with harmonic variation of the cross section. The matrix method was used to compute the transfer power spectra of elastic rods with uniform circular cross section and of rods with harmonic variation of the cross section with distance. Theoretical and experimental results show that for a rod with periodical variation of the cross section, a new set of supplementary frequencies appear for which the transfer power coefficient has significant values, which are in relation with the space period of the inhomogeneity.
