Objective: The objective of the systematic review will be to evaluate the effect of paternity leave or fathers' parental leave on infant mortality rate, hospitalization, vaccination compliance, and breastfeeding duration.
Introduction: Current studies indicate that paternity leave positively affects infant health, but there is a significant lack of synthesized research on its impact on key infant health indicators. A systematic review of the existing evidence will help identify best practices and guide further research and policy development in this area.
Background: The duration of time a person with cystic fibrosis (pwCF) spends on the lung transplant waitlist is dependent on waitlist and post-transplant survival probabilities and can extend up to 2 years. Understanding the characteristics involved with lung transplant and survival prognoses may help guide decision making by the patient, the referring CF Center and the transplant team.
Methods: This study seeks to identify clinical predictors of lung transplant and survival of individuals with CF using 29,847 subjects from 2003-2014 entered in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Patient Registry (CFFPR).

This is the third paper in the series providing updated information and recommendations for people with cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR)-related disorder (CFTR-RD). This paper covers the individual disorders, including the established conditions - congenital absence of the vas deferens (CAVD), diffuse bronchiectasis and chronic or acute recurrent pancreatitis - and also other conditions which might be considered a CFTR-RD, including allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, chronic rhinosinusitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis and aquagenic wrinkling. The CFTR functional and genetic evidence in support of the condition being a CFTR-RD are discussed and guidance for reaching the diagnosis, including alternative conditions to consider and management recommendations, is provided.

Objective: We sought to test the hypothesis that the children of pregnant people with symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea during pregnancy have an increased incidence of autism spectrum disorder.
Methods: This was a case-control study comparing the pregnancies of people whose children were later diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder without a known associated genetic condition to those whose children were diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder with a known associated genetic condition.
Objective: The EKAN is a reliable and validated tool for objectively measuring the evidence-based practice (EBP) knowledge of nurses. Thus, we set out to translate and culturally modify the Evidence-Based Practice Knowledge Assessment in Nursing (EKAN), and then evaluate its validity and reliability among Chinese practicing nurses.
Methods: This cross-sectional study consisted of two phases.
Background: Nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) are an important cause of airway infections in people with cystic fibrosis (pwCF). Isolation of NTM from respiratory specimens of pwCF do not mandate treatment in the absence of clinical and radiologic features of NTM pulmonary disease (NTM-PD), as some pwCF clear the infection without treatment and others do not appear to progress to NTM-PD despite persistent infection. An evidence-based protocol to standardize diagnosis of NTM-PD is needed to systematically identify pwCF who may benefit from treatment.

Nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) are opportunistic pathogens that affect a relatively small but significant portion of the people with cystic fibrosis (CF), and may cause increased morbidity and mortality in this population. Cultures from the airway are the only test currently in clinical use for detecting NTM. Culture techniques used in clinical laboratories are insensitive and poorly suited for population screening or to follow progression of disease or treatment response.

Background: Reporting standards for data sources in systematic reviews (SRs) have been developed, yet research shows varying compliance in the methods section. When this happens, replication of search results is difficult and creates ambiguous and biased data sources.
Aims: This study captured author practices in choosing English and non-English-language databases, listing all the databases searched, and incorporating study registries as part of the search strategy.
Nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) are important pathogens, with a longitudinal prevalence of up to 20% within the cystic fibrosis (CF) population. Diagnosis of NTM pulmonary disease in people with CF (pwCF) is challenging, as a majority have NTM infection that is transient or indolent, without evidence of clinical consequence. In addition, the radiographic and clinical manifestations of chronic coinfections with typical CF pathogens can overlap those of NTM, making diagnosis difficult.
