High quality epitaxial thin films of the quasi-one dimensional conductor KMoO have been successfully grown on SrTiO(100), SrTiO(110), and SrTiO(510) substrates pulsed laser deposition. Scanning electron microscopy revealed quasi-one dimensional rod-shaped structures parallel to the substrate surface, and the crystal structure was verified by using X-ray diffraction. The temperature dependence of the resistivity for the KMoO thin films demonstrates a metal-to-semiconductor transition at about 180 K.

We present a 76-year old man with a two year history of Gleason 9 prostate cancer (PCa) presenting with penile pain, erythema, and a fungating mass on the glans. Imaging at initial PCa diagnosis revealed confined disease. His prostate cancer was previously treated with radiation and androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) with initial laboratory response via prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels, however his PSA began to rise six months following cessation of ADT.
