- The majority (93%) of the deaths were among patients aged over 60 years old, and 91% happened within 28 days of receiving a positive COVID-19 test.
- Cumulative mortality rates were notably higher for individuals from Black, Asian, other, or mixed ethnic backgrounds, as well as those living in socioeconomically deprived areas.
