We aimed to characterize their natural behavior and confront the data with the outcomes of patients undergoing upfront surgery.
Methods: Data from patients with histologically confirmed nf pNETs ≤2 cm, managed at a single tertiary referral center between 2002 and 2020, were retrospectively reviewed.
Background: There is no standard second-line treatment after platinum-etoposide chemotherapy for gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine carcinoma. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy of FOLFIRI plus bevacizumab, and FOLFIRI alone, in this setting.
Methods: We did a randomised, non-comparative, open-label, phase 2 trial (PRODIGE 41-BEVANEC) at 26 hospitals in France.
Background: Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) belong to a rare family of tumors whose incidence has increased significantly over the past 50 years.
Purpose: To evaluate the prognostic value of volumetric arterial enhancement (VAE) on baseline magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for patients with neuroendocrine liver metastasis (NELM) treated using transarterial chemoembolization (TACE).
Material And Methods: Between October 2012 and December 2018, VAE in 37 patients was measured with a semi-automatic volume of Interest (VOI) on subtracted T1 sequence in the arterial phase.
Background: CC-90011 is an oral, potent, selective, reversible inhibitor of lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1) that was well tolerated, with encouraging activity in patients who had advanced solid tumors or relapsed/refractory marginal zone lymphoma. The authors present long-term safety and efficacy and novel pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic data from the first-in-human study of CC-90011.
Methods: CC-90011-ST-001 (ClincalTrials.
Malignant insulinomas are functional neuroendocrine tumors of the pancreas and the primary cause of tumor-related hypoglycemia. Malignant insulinoma is rare and has a poor prognosis. We report a case of metastatic malignant insulinoma in a 64-year-old female patient with severe and refractory hypoglycemia.

This randomised multicentric study investigated intermittent versus continuous pazopanib administration.
Patients And Methods: The PAZOTHYR study included RAIR-TC patients with progressive disease in the last 12 months, who may have received one prior MKI.
Background/aim: FOLFOX (5-Fluorouracile and oxaliplatin) exhibits promising activity in advanced well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). This retrospective study aimed to analyze the outcome of metastatic enteropancreatic NETs patients treated with FOLFOX.
Patients And Methods: We retrospectively identified patients treated with FOLFOX for NETs of enteropancreatic or unknown origin among those referred to our Regional Multidisciplinary Tumor Board.
The optimal treatment for small, asymptomatic, nonfunctioning pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (NF-PanNEN) is still controversial. European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (ENETS) guidelines recommend a watchful strategy for asymptomatic NF-PanNEN <2 cm of diameter. Several retrospective series demonstrated that a non-operative management is safe and feasible, but no prospective studies are available.

Background: Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNET) are rare, with a significant malignant potential. This study aimed to determine outcomes of patients with resected PNETs according to the cystic component and confirm the accuracy of preoperative staging.
Methods: From 1997 to 2016, 106 patients underwent resection of PNETs, including 73 purely solid (S-PNETs, 69%), 21 mixed (M-PNETs, 20%), and 12 purely cystic lesions (C-PNETs, 11%).
Adrenocortical carcinomas (ACCs) are heterogeneous cancers associated with a very poor prognosis. The improvement of prognostic tools and systemic therapy are urgently needed. Targeting the immune system using checkpoint inhibitors such as PD1/PDL1 inhibitors is an attractive novel therapeutic strategy for poor-prognosis tumors.

Patients And Methods: Retrospective multicenter study of MPP characterized by a neck-thoraco-abdomino-pelvic CT or MRI at the time of malignancy diagnosis in European centers between 1998 and 2010.
Objective: To assess the distant metastatic potential of duodeno-pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (DP-NETs) in patients with MEN1, according to functional status and size.
Summary Background Data: DP-NETs, with their numerous lesions and endocrine secretion-related symptoms, continue to be a medical challenge; unfortunately they can become aggressive tumors associated with distant metastasis, shortening survival. The survival of patients with large nonfunctional DP-NETs is known to be poor, but the overall contribution of DP-NETs to metastatic spread is poorly known.
Background: Dysregulation of the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) pathway is frequent in advanced follicular (FTC) and poorly differentiated thyroid (PDTC) carcinomas and has been implicated in oncogenesis and tumor progression. This study investigated the efficacy and safety of buparlisib, a pan-PI3K inhibitor in radioiodine refractory FTC and PDTC.
Methods: The primary endpoint of this open-label, multicenter, phase 2 pilot study was progression-free survival (PFS) at 6 months.
In oncology, the expanding use of multi-gene panels to explore familial cancer predisposition and tumor genome analysis has led to increased secondary findings discoveries (SFs) and has given rise to important medical, ethical, and legal issues. The American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics published a policy statement for managing SFs for a list of genes, including 25 cancer-related genes. Currently, there are few recommendations in Europe.

Methods: The 1023-patient series of symptomatic MEN1 patients followed up in a median of 48.
Background: In our clinical practice we have observed that despite a high hepatic metastatic tumor burden, serum alkaline phosphatase (AP) levels are frequently normal in cases of metastatic neuroendocrine tumor (NET).
Patients And Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the records of patients with grade 1 and 2 NETs with liver metastases but without bone metastases seen at our institution in 2013. In total, 49 patients were included (22 female), with a median age of 60 years (range: 28 to 84 years).
Therapeutic management of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) is challenging. The mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibitor everolimus recently obtained approval from the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of patients with advanced pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNETs). Despite its promising antitumor efficacy observed in cell lines, clinical benefit for patients is unsatisfactory.
