Fractional Radiofrequency Microneedling as a Monotherapy in Acne Scar Management: A Systematic Review of Current Evidence.

Fractional radiofrequency microneedling (FRM) is a popular, minimally invasive skin rejuvenation modality for treating acne scarring. In this study, we aimed to systematically evaluate the current literature on the efficacy and safety of FRM as a monotherapy to treat different types of facial acne scarring. We systematically reviewed all available literature on FRM techniques used for acne scarring by searching the PubMed and EBSCO databases up to July 2024.

A 15% Trichloroacetic Acid + 3% Glycolic Acid Chemical Peel Series Improves Appearance of Hand Lentigines: An Evaluator-Blinded, Split-Hand Prospective Trial.

Background: Improving the appearance of lentigines on the hands is a key component to hand rejuvenation. Soft tissue fillers revolumize hands, but do not address pigmentary changes. OBJECTIVE: This study investigated the effiacy of a 15% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) + 3% glycolic acid (GA) combination peel in improvement of appearance of hand lentigines.

Erythromelanosis Follicularis Faciei: A Case Report and Review of the Literature.

Erythromelanosis follicularis faciei is a rare sporadic condition of unknown etiology characterized by reddish-brownish patches and follicular papules that appear commonly on the face and rarely on the neck. Herein, we report a 16-year-old male who had asymptomatic facial skin lesions since early childhood. His family history revealed a similar case in his younger brother.

Rates of formation of anhydronucleosides and comparison with their corresponding oxy analogues.

Anhydronucleosides are reactive intermediates in the synthesis of modified nucleosides. Their rates of cyclization of 2,2'; 2,3' and 2,5'-anhydro 2-thiouridine were studied and compared with their oxy analogues. The order of displacement of the leaving group is as follows: 2' > 5' > 3'.

The effects of DNA administration on the growth of X-irradiated Xenopus tadpoles.

An easy method for the harmless measurement of the length of tadpoles is described. The results indicate that tadpoles exposed to 3,000 r showed increase in length 20 days following irradiation. The animals exposed to the same or other X-ray doses and administered high molecular homologous and heterologous DNA showed a better rate of growth than the animals exposed to a dose of 3,000 r and not given DNA.
