Carotid artery web (CaW) is a rare focal fibromuscular dysplasia, which is an underappreciated risk factor for transient ischemic attack. This case illustrates the dynamic evolution of secondary thrombus and plaque in CaW, and the importance of carotid doppler ultrasound in early detection and follow-up.

Methods: A total of 174 patients with basal ganglia ICH were divided into CMBs and non-CMBs groups. Indicators of coagulation function and other clinical data that included fibrinogen (FBI), prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), and the international normalized ratio (INR) were compared by univariate and multivariate analysis between the two groups.
