In synthetic biology, microbial chassis including yeast are iteratively engineered with increasing complexity and scale. Wet-lab genetic engineering tools are developed and optimised to facilitate strain construction but are often incompatible with each other due to shared regulatory elements, such as the galactose-inducible () promoter in . Here, we prototyped the cyanamide-induced I expression, which triggered double-strand DNA breaks (DSBs) for selectable marker removal.

The teenage years represent a crucial period of physical and cognitive growth and development with sufficient micronutrient intakes necessary to meet high nutritional requirements. This review examines current micronutrient intakes in teenagers in the Western world in the context of public health implications including the prevalence of inadequate intakes and risk of excessive intakes. Intakes of vitamins A, D, E and C, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc and potassium in teenagers are low when compared to generally accepted recommendations, while there is little risk of excessive micronutrient intakes based on current dietary patterns.

Aim: to develop a better understanding of the attitudes and experiences of healthcare workers and managers with face-to-face, online asynchronous (pre-recorded), and online synchronous (live) modalities for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) working in the Long-Term Care (LTC) sector.

Background: The recent global pandemic significantly interrupted the delivery and organisation of education and training for healthcare professionals internationally. As a result of the restrictions, healthcare professionals' access to CPD was limited, consequentially education and training activities were mostly delivered online.

Strains LMG 7974 and LMG 8286 represent single, novel lineages with and as nearest phylogenomic neighbours, respectively. The results of average nucleotide identity (ANI) and digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) analyses of LMG 7974, LMG 8286 and type strains of species of the genus confirmed that these strains represent novel species of the genus . The 16S rRNA gene sequences of both strains showed highest identity towards (97.
