A discursive study exploring the professional identities of registered nurses employed in older person residential care settings.

Background: The phenomenon of an ageing population is being experienced globally requiring the ongoing provision of residential care services. A large number of registered nurses work in these settings; however, many challenges exist in their recruitment and retention.

Objectives: To explore professional identities and emerging discourses of registered nurses working in older person residential care settings.

Redox-Dependent HMGB1 Isoforms as Pivotal Co-Ordinators of Drug-Induced Liver Injury: Mechanistic Biomarkers and Therapeutic Targets.

Significance: High-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) is a critical protein in the coordination of the inflammatory response in drug-induced liver injury (DILI). HMGB1 is released from necrotic hepatocytes and activated immune cells. The extracellular function of HMGB1 is dependent upon redox modification of cysteine residues that control chemoattractant and cytokine-inducing properties.
