The utilization of agricultural by-products for the synthesis of hybrid nanomaterials represents an environmentally sustainable approach. This research aims to comprehensively investigate high-performance silver and copper nanoparticles hybrid materials based on carboxymethyl-modified cellulose / lignin derived from rice husks (CMC / CML-AgNPs and CMC / CML-CuONPs) and apply them for antimicrobial activities. CMC / CML was used to reduce Ag / Cu cations to the atomic level and then efficiently stabilize Ag / CuO nanoparticles, an eco-friendly method and sustainable development.

Even while intra-articular scar tissue can be observed following ankle fractures, little is known about its nature and molecular events linking its biological activity and cartilage deterioration. Here, we investigated scar tissue's histological and molecular characteristics, and its relationship with localized articular cartilage alterations consistent with early osteoarthritic degeneration.

An effective control to impede the dissemination of the spores of in the air affecting the environment and food was carried out. This study focuses on the sustainable rice husk-extracted lignin, nanolignin, lignin/n-lignin capped silver nanoparticles used for fungal growth inhibition.

However, fibrous tissue and fibrocartilage comprise the majority of tissue repairs resulting from these procedures. These tissue types lack the mechanical characteristics of native hyaline cartilage and might significantly contribute to the decline in long-term outcomes.

This study focuses on the synthesis of a hybrid material system from lignin and silver/silica nanoparticles (Lig@Ag/SiO NPs) which were used against bacteria including Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (S.

Long-bone fractures usually occur in cancellous-bone-rich epiphysis at each end or the cortical-rich diaphysis in the center, with different bone healing processes. Little is known about the differences in results between the two regions when applying Mg implants.

Osteonecrosis is acknowledged as a relatively uncommon disorder caused by various factors, including autoimmune diseases, drug-induced diseases, inherited metabolic disorders, coagulation disorders, and underlying malignancies. To our knowledge, no previous research has investigated osteonecrosis stemming from extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. Herein, we report a rare case of postperipheral venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation-induced multifocal osteonecrosis in the foot and ankle that demonstrated a low serpiginous peripheral signal on T1-weighted images and a double-line sign on fat-suppressed or T2-weighted magnetic resonance images.

Rice husk is one of the most abundant biomass resources in the world, yet it is not effectively used. This study focuses on the sustainably rice-husk-extracted lignin, nano-lignin (n-Lignin), lignin-capped silver nanoparticles (LCSN), n-Lignin-capped silver nanoparticles (n-LCSN), and lignin-capped silica-silver nanoparticles (LCSSN), and using them for antibacterial activities. The final n-Lignin-based products had a sphere-like structure, of which the size varied between 50 and 80 nm.

Analyses revealed the presence of , , , , , , , , and in both hosts. Most strains from pigs contained quinolones () and colistin resistance genes (-1 and -3).

The current study determined occurrence of colistin-resistant in pigs and workers at pig farms in Vietnam, and investigated the genetic background for resistance. Colistin-resistant were detected from pigs in 53/116 (45.

In recent years, structural and non-structural solutions have been implemented to mitigate damages due to floods. However, under the impact of climate change, natural disasters continue to happen unpredictably day by day.

This study aimed to determine and compare the prevalence and the genetic determinants of cefotaxime-resistant and ESBL-producing Escherichia coli in faecal isolates from workers and pigs at 100 farms in northern Vietnam.
Methods: Farmers were interviewed about antimicrobial usage in livestock.
