Autoimmune encephalitis is a group of disorders characterized by symptoms of dysfunction of the limbic and extra-limbic systems that occur in association with antibodies against intracellular antigens, synapses, or proteins located on the surface of nerve cells. Anti-NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) receptor encephalitis was first described in 2007 and has become one of the most commonly recognized autoimmune encephalitides. The disease is predominantly female (81%) and affects young patients (37% <18 years old, 95% <45 years old), with up to 58% of women over 18 years old having ovarian teratoma.

At both temperatures, the functional response of all four phytoseiid mites was type II to first instars of the thrips. In contrast, when offered thrips eggs, the functional response was type III.

Structures of these complexes show a metal center bonded to the pincer ligand and two axial CO and one equatorial CO ligands. DFT calculations showed that the LUMOs of both complexes are the lowest energy π* orbitals localized in the acridine part of the ligand.

These newly designed compounds can also be prepared in high yields with the tolerance of many functional groups under mild conditions. Notably, these β-carboline-bisindole hybrid compounds exhibited some promising applications as anticancer agents against the three common cancer cell lines MCF-7 (breast cancer), SK-LU-1 (lung cancer), and HepG2 (liver cancer).

Therefore, the search for new drugs and an evaluation of their efficiency are intensively carried out. Recently, a series of eighteen imidazole[1,5-a]pyridine derivatives were synthetized by us, and preliminary analyses pointed out their potential to be an important platform for pharmaceutical development owing to their promising actions as anticancer agents and enzyme (kinase, HIV-protease,…) inhibitors.

When provided with thrips eggs as food, A. largoensis exhibited a notably shorter immature development period for both males (7.

Breeding programmes have shown arthropod predators' potential to acclimate to challenging host plants. However, whether and how these predators adapt to novel plant environments remain unclear.

For most patients with advanced age and stage, the standard treatment is hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy; however, fertility-preserving surgery should be considered for young nulligravid women.
Case: We present a case of a 24-year-old nulligravid female with bilateral adnexal masses, imaging findings of ovarian teratomas, and normal levels of tumor markers.
A practical strategy for the iodine-promoted synthesis of bis(1-imidazo[1,5-]pyridyl)arylmethane and its derivatives has been developed. These compounds exhibit high cytotoxicity toward various cancer cell lines and moreover they are promising ligands for the Cu-catalysed synthesis of quinolines.

Objectives: The study aims to describe the quality of life and changes in quality of life of medical and nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic and examine the association of quality of life and changes in quality of life with fear of COVID-19 and other socio-economic and demographic factors.

However, an efficient strategy to synthesize quinoline derivatives remains challenging. Herein, we describe an efficient and practical method for the synthesis of quinolines by Cu-catalyzed cyclization of 2-amino benzyl alcohol with ketones (or secondary alcohols) via an acceptorless dehydrogenation pathway.

To explore this research field, we transiently perturbed the phenylpropanoid pathway through application of the CINNAMIC ACID-4-HYDROXYLASE (C4H) inhibitor piperonylic acid (PA). Using bioassays involving diverse pests and pathogens, we show that transient C4H inhibition triggers systemic, broad-spectrum resistance in higher plants without affecting growth.

Methods: From May 2015 to May 2017, we conducted two randomized controlled trials in a phased approach to evaluate the effectiveness of a mobile CME (mCME) approach for two cadres of health professionals in Vietnam. The first randomized controlled trial (RCT) tested the use of an SMS-based educational intervention among Community-Based Physician's Assistants; while feasible and acceptable, this intervention failed to improve medical knowledge among participants.
