Aldehyde dehydrogenase-1A1 (ALDH1A1), a member of a superfamily of 19 isozymes, exhibits various biological functions and is involved in several important physiological and pathological processes, including those associated with various diseases including cancers such as pancreatic cancer. Chemotherapy is one of the most important strategies for the treatment of pancreatic cancer; however, the chemoresistance exhibited by pancreatic cancer cells is a leading cause of chemotherapy failure. It has been reported that overexpression of ALDH1A1 significantly correlates with poor prognosis and tumor aggressiveness, and is clinically associated with chemoresistance.

The CTAB-coated TiO nanoparticles (CCTN) were characterized by FT-IR, zeta-potential measurements, and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-vis-DRS). 2,4,5-T removal increased significantly after surface modification with CTAB compared with bare TiO nanoparticles.

The outcomes reveal that fly ash exhibited a relatively elevated concentration of industrial waste metals (25-66%) such as As, Cd, and Pb primarily in exchangeable (F1) and carbonate fractions (F2), which are mobile forms susceptible to environmental dissolution and consequential bioaccumulation posing health risks to humans. The predominant states of the metals Cr, Cu, and Zn were identified as residual, Fe-Mn oxide, and carbonate, respectively, with their relative proportions showing minimal variation.

This study investigates the prevalence of MPs and trace metals in sediment belonging to Ma River, Vietnam, and their interaction with various parameters, including nutrients such as total carbon (TC), total nitrogen (TN), and total phosphorus (TP), grain sizes, and MPs in surface water. The study revealed that the abundance of MPs in sediment (MPs/S) is relatively high (i.

To date, the IDO1 inhibitors have been developed intensively for the re-activation of the anticancer immune response. In this report, we designed, and synthesized novel 1,3-dimethyl-6-amino indazole derivatives as IDO1 inhibitors based on the structure of IDO1 active site.

The most common sediments were fine sand in surface sediment, very fine sand in core C1, and very coarse and coarse silt in core C2. The total organic carbon was highest in C2 next to the surface and lowest in C1, with content levels of 1.

A 2D-MoS flake is isolated by transferring a single MoS flake to SiO/Si substrate, followed by applying an advanced e-beam lithography (EBL) to form a metal contact with Au/Cr electrodes. The resulting chemoresistive nano-sensor using a single MoS flake was applied to detect a very low concentration of NO at the part-per-billion (ppb) level.

Concentrations and profiles of heavy metals are presented, showing the dominance of Zn in all types of samples. Highly volatile elements (Cd, Pb, and Zn) were found at elevated proportions in PM but not fly ash.

Ag@ZnO and Ag@ZnO/MgAC were investigated for photocatalytic degradation of MB and their antibacterial efficiencies. Ag@ZnO/MgAC showed excellent photocatalytic MB degradation with a performance of 98.

Despite the fact that air pollution is a great concern in Vietnam, there are no studies on the level of BC in the outdoor and indoor environment. In this exploratory study, an assessment of urban BC concentrations was conducted through monitoring of both outdoor and indoor BC concentrations in three households and one working office at different locations across Hanoi.
