Assessing digital financial inclusion and financial crises: The role of financial development in shielding against shocks.

Digital financial inclusion (DFI) has been proven to be a central factor in driving economic development and reducing inequality in countries. However, its impact on financial crises (FC) has yet to be clearly examined, particularly in the context of current Financial Development (FD). Therefore, this study examines the influence of DFI on FC across 52 countries from 2004 to 2020, focusing on how this impact varies with the level of FD.

Exploring the relationships between self-efficacy, self-care, and glycaemic control in primary care diabetes management.

Objectives: Our study aimed to identify the complex interplay between self-efficacy, self-care practice, and glycaemic control among people with type 2 diabetes mellitus (PWDs) to inform the design of more targeted and effective behavioural interventions in primary care.

Climate change and increasing urbanization are two primary factors responsible for the increased risk of serious flooding around the world. The prediction and monitoring of the effects of land use/land cover (LULC) and climate change on flood risk are critical steps in the development of appropriate strategies to reduce potential damage. This study aimed to develop a new approach by combining machine learning (namely the XGBoost, CatBoost, LightGBM, and ExtraTree models) and hydraulic modeling to predict the effects of climate change and LULC change on land that is at risk of flooding.

Soil salinization is considered one of the disasters that have significant effects on agricultural activities in many parts of the world, particularly in the context of climate change and sea level rise. This problem has become increasingly essential and severe in the Mekong River Delta of Vietnam. Therefore, soil salinity monitoring and assessment are critical to building appropriate strategies to develop agricultural activities.

Pelvic Floor and Sexual Dysfunction After Vaginal Birth With Episiotomy in Vietnamese Women.

Introduction: Episiotomy has been the most common procedure in obstetrical practice; however, its benefits remain controversial, especially in case of postpartum pelvic floor disorder and sexual dysfunction.

Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate early complications, pelvic floor, and sexual dysfunction after delivery with episiotomy and their associated factors.

Methods: 158 healthy pregnant women at term (38 weeks 0 days to 41 weeks 6 days), aged above 18 years old, who vaginally delivered a singleton baby with cephalic presentation were recruited.

A new species of the genus Kuzminykh, 1999, Dedov & Schneppat, , is described, which was collected from a single locality in northern Vietnam. Color pictures of living specimens are provided. For the first time, information on the ecology and biology of a representative of the genus is presented.

Serological evidence of human infection with Pteropine orthoreovirus in Central Vietnam.

Pteropine orthoreovirus, potentially of bat origin, has been reported to cause respiratory tract infections among human beings in Southeast Asia. Twelve IgG ELISA-positive cases with antibodies against Pteropine orthoreovirus were detected among 272 human serum samples collected between March and June 2014 from in and around Hue City, Central Vietnam. These 12 cases were IgM ELISA negative.
