Background: Antiretroviral therapy is a lifelong commitment that requires consistent intake of tablets to optimize health outcomes, attain and maintain viral suppression.
Objective: We aimed to elicit predictors of treatment interruption amongst PLHIV and identify motivating factors influencing return to care.
Method: We conducted a cross-sectional study using a mixed-method approach in four hospitals in Yaoundé.
Introduction: Policy directions in the health sector are based on research which provides insight into implemented actions and helps to formulate improvement recommendations for health. In Cameroon, an innovative experience of anthropological research on newborn health was followed by a process of appropriating findings by the Ministry of Public Health aiming at improving the quality of care. We suggest reporting this Cameroonian experience of interdisciplinary collaboration and involved research.

The importance of malaria as a major cause of anaemia in pregnancy in malaria endemic areas has not been fully elucidated. In two cross-sectional studies of pregnant women at antenatal enrolment and at delivery, we determined the prevalence of anaemia and assessed some risk factors associated with anaemia such as malaria parasitaemia and parity, in women from a malaria endemic area of south western Cameroon.
