Recently, deep-red-emitting phosphors that can be excited by ultraviolet (UV) and near-ultraviolet (NUV) light have been extensively investigated for plant growth LED applications. However, due to the harmful effects of these high-energy rays on plants, violet- or blue-excited deep-red-emitting phosphors are considered a more appropriate solution. In this work, SrAlO:Cr phosphors were synthesized using a simple solid-state reaction, revealing a strikingly sharp deep-red emission band centered at 694 nm and effective excitation by violet light.

However, the aggregation of these nanoparticles at physiological pH is still the main limitation. In this research, we introduced a novel fluorescence nano-based cell tracker suitable for application in live cells.

The good stability of NaF and NaCl monolayers is confirmed by phonon dispersion curves and molecular dynamics simulations. Electronic structure calculations show their insulator nature with large indirect band gaps of 5.

However, the use of cuprous oxide/silver (CuO/Ag) to measure the trace amounts of methyl orange (MO) has not been reported. Therefore, in this study, the trace level of MO in water solvent was determined using a SERS substrate based on CuO microcubes combined with silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs).

The aim of this study was to design and generate BBR-loaded proliposomes (PLs) as solid templates for high-dose liposomes and consequently, to enhance the oral bioavailability and therapeutic effect of BBR. An air-suspension coating (layering) method was used for generating BBR-loaded PLs.

Doxorubicin hydrochloride (DOX·HCl) is a chemo-drug absorbed onto the SiO NPs surfaces. The DOX·HCl loading onto and release from the SiO NPs was monitored via UV-VIS and fluorescence spectra.

In practice, about 180 nm sized polyol-made FeO spheres, constituted by 10 nm sized crystals, were functionalized by (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane (APTES) to become positively charged, which can then electrostatically interact with negatively charged silver seeds. Silver petals were formed by seed-mediated growth in presence of Ag cations and self-assembly, using L-ascorbic acid (L-AA) and polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) as mid-reducing and stabilizing agents, respectively.

When the mesoporous silica layer is embedded by doxorubicin drugs, a significant change in absorption spectra enables to quantify the drug loading. We carried out photothermal experiments on saline and livers of mice having GNRs@mSiO and GNRs@mSiO-DOX.

The proportion of blastomeres expressing SOX2 bi-allelically increased from 45% at the 4-cell stage to 60% at the 8-cell stage. Moreover, in 8-cell embryos, SOX2 was expressed bi-allelically in significantly more blastomeres than was the case for OCT4, and this was associated with a tendency for SOX2 alleles to move toward the nuclear interior during 4- to 8-cell transition.

An ultrashort laser pulse emitting in the far-ultraviolet region was utilized for efficient ionization of the analytes. Numerous signal peaks were clearly observed for a standard sample mixture of PCBs when the third and fourth harmonic emissions (267 and 200nm) of a femtosecond Ti:sapphire laser (800nm) were employed.
