Childbirth Journey Through Virtual Reality: Pain, Anxiety and Birth Perception: A Randomized Controlled Trial.

This study determines video's effect on pregnant women's pain, anxiety, and perception of labor using virtual reality glasses during the active and transition phases of childbirth. This randomized controlled study was conducted with 60 pregnant women (30 in each group) admitted to the delivery room of a hospital. The data were collected by personal information form, visual comparison scale-pain, visual comparison scale-anxiety, and perception of birth scale.

Does group education affect mothers' knowledge and attitudes towards the HPV vaccine?

In this study the authors' investigated the effect of group education on human papillomavirus (HPV) on level of knowledge and health beliefs for HPV infection and vaccine. The study was semi-experimental with a pre- and post-test education model. In total, 110 mothers of secondary school students, 55 in education group, and 55 in control group participated.

The Relationship Between International Students' Health Perceptions and Their Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors.

This study was carried out to examine the relationship between international students' health perceptions and their healthy lifestyle behaviors. This descriptive and relational study was conducted with 216 international students studying at a university in Turkey. Study data were collected using the descriptive information form, the Perception of Health Scale (PHS) and the Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile II (HPLP-II).

Relationship Between Fear of Childbirth and Psychological and Spiritual Well-Being in Pregnant Women.

The aim of the study was to investigate the relationship between fear of childbirth (FOC) and psychological (PWB) and spiritual well-being (SWB) in pregnant women. Descriptive and relational study was conducted with 338 pregnant women in Turkey. Information form, Wijma Delivery Expectancy/Experience Questionnaire-A, Spiritual Well-Being Scale and Psychological Well-Being Scale were used for data collection.

Prevalence of dysmenorrhea in university students in Turkey: effect on daily activities and evaluation of different pain management methods.

This study was conducted to determine the following among a group of female university students: the prevalence of dysmenorrhea; pain severity ratings; methods used to manage dysmenorrhea; and the effect of dysmenorrhea on daily activities, school attendance, and ability to communicate with friends. This cross-sectional study was conducted between December 2009 and February 2010 at a public university located in Istanbul, in the northwest area of Turkey. The study group included 1515 female students.
